I called to make an appointment because my glasses were damaged and needed to get a new pair ASAP. They first told me they did not have any appointments for over a month. So, I went to another optometrist and had my exam. I then called Mountain View Eye Center back to purchase my glasses through them. The woman that answered asked why I had gone somewhere else and then told me that she would have worked me in, if she had known the situation. I had explained my situation, when I called the first time. I let this miscommunication go and asked when I could come in to pick out my new glasses. The woman put me on hold for a long time and then came back on the line and said that I could come in anytime, I just had to wear a mask; which I totally understood. I asked their hours on Saturday and told her I would be in a little after 9 on Saturday. When I got there, there was a big sign on the door saying “By Appointment Only”. So I called them and explained that I was there to pick out new glasses and the woman informed me that I did not have an appointment and would not be allowed inside. After debating a couple minutes about how I did call the day before and they knew I was coming; she would not budge. So, I told her I would NOT be back. They are very friendly on the phone, but they do not communicate with each other and have cost me additional time on getting my new glasses; which has cost them any future business from me.

I went to get an eye exam for glasses and contact lenses. They charged me for "contact lens trials" which ended up costing more than the lenses used for the trial. My eyes reacted badly to the cheap lenses they gave me first and then they charged me again for eyedrops to alleviate that pain. I had to argue to get a copy of my prescription that I paid for so I could go get the lenses that i know i can wear comfortably. (They kept having me try cheap brand lenses.) Now today, I'm trying to get my glasses prescription faxed to another place so I can buy my own frames because the minimum price for frames at Mountain View Eye Center is the insurance minimum, and they cant even fax my prescription so I have to drive over there one last time. If I could give 0/5 stars, i would.
