Been to this hospital a number of times; you will go in for an emergency visit and still wait a half an hour before being checked in, and the nurses dilly dally. I was in the most extreme pain i've ever been in, and could barely move my legs and one doctor seemed to joke and asked how I "even got in the car." I was in so much pain I was crying in agony and a rude nurse (i think her name was Jen) said rudely to me "why are you hyperventilating?" Because Im in extreme pain, why else would I be in an emergency room? They've also messed up a procedure so bad my step father had to have his whole row of top teeth removed because an inexperienced nurse made the wrong move. Nurses constantly touch the floor with their gloves; if you drop something, pick it up, then change your gloves before you touch the IV or needles!!!!! Its a shame this is the only hospital around this area because its literally trash. do better.

Absolutely the worst hospital, with the most unprofessional, poorly trained, uneducated RUDE nursing staff in the Emergency Room in the state of NJ. Having chronic medical issues, I am happy to travel out to Philadelphia 60 miles to avoid the worst nurses, doctors and staff. I wouldn’t go to this hospital for any reason. Can’t wait for Hackensack Meridian Health to drop them from their group of hospitals. Every night the ER is loaded with 10xs more rude security guards than medical staff, with local police bringing in criminals and patients for evaluation. The facility is loaded with the worst poorly trained medical drs, nurses and workers of any hospital in NJ. Wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone nor would I every bring a family member, friend or any person for even the simplest medical issue. Avoid it all all costs. Southern Ocean Medical Center is the worst of the worst in NJ
