Rude and obnoxious. I was in a car accident and was treated like I was a number and that i was in no pain and felt comfortable. Even got nauseous and was in terrible pain. They can't put themselves in the patients shoes.

This place is absolutely amazing!! My father came to specialty hospital after a very long ICU stay from covid pneumonia complications. My father was ventilated for over 2 months by the time he was admitted to speciality hospital and I was told by the hospital ICU staff that they believed my father would be ventilator dependent for the rest of his life. Well, my father was just discharged from specialty hospital , ventilator free and trach free. In 21 days these amazing people did what we were told was not possible. They gave me my father back . The staff , every single one I’ve met have been kind, empathetic and so helpful every step of the way. My father was treated with kindness , understanding , and respect . I can never thank specialty hospital and all of their staff for all that they have done for our family .

So listen....the windows need insulating, the building is old, it looks like it could be on an episode of ghost hunters lol, but the people...the people make it worthwhile. The nurses and aids, like Esther, Ann Lori, Sherry and so many others treated me so wonderfully. Sheryl the OT, Susie, speech, and the PT, Sangida along with her assistant Agnes showed me kindness, empathy and love daily! Even the housekeeper, Brenda, showed me a kindness I could never repay! Above all, the respiratory therapists, Arbor, Brett, Rich, Sue, Angela and others, along with Sarah, the head of the department treated me with care and concern, but fought for me to beat the ventilator and the trech. My doctor, himself, argued with my insurance to get me a bed here because the respiratory department is renowned!
