I had a question regarding my application and the lady who waited on me was very sweet and generous and helpful, she explained to me how to answer the question. You go to department of human services and get application fill it out there and they will give u an appt
Stop by either social services or central services depending on your state. They handle Medicaid, food stamps and other types of assistance. Make sure you lie about both of you or else you won't get help. I'm a divorced single college graduate. They were giving me $14 bucks a month for foodstamps...now none.
Call into the office, give them your name and SS#, and they can look it up and tell you.
It most certainly should be. They don't usually close for just cold weather.
