So I’ve always loathed these truck stops because they’re usually smoke and mirrors. Mechanics can’t fix nothing. They all usually have a bunch of kids running around on their cellphones calling themselves mechanics or techs…keeping u there for hours to tell u they can’t fix it and it needs to go to the dealership. Well I will tell you now, the guys at this TA are on it!! EDDIE AND J.T. Were amazing getting the parts to repair My busted hub seal!! It was late at night like 9ish.. they got the ok to fix the truck and had the parts in and hour if not less. While waiting, J.T. Broke the wheel down to the spindle and They both brain stormed to get the parts. Keep in mind they both were due to get off at 12am. Long story short, got the parts, slapped it together and schooled me on what to look for down the road… J.T. Stayed over to get it done. Eddie helped.. man I can’t say enough good about theses two guys.. hope TA appreciates them.. they’re keepers.. Mike!! Gypsum Express! 21336

Today my driver had a very bad experience at this location. He went there for a simple D.O.T annual inspection. It took them an hour and a half to tell me that we have bad break shoes. My driver told them okay, check the rest of the truck and tell me what they find out. The mechanic was just walking around a shop, not a truck. When my driver came to see what else is wrong they told him, he was not looking for anything else, because he stopped at the breaks. My driver told them it's enough, the dude just walking around, not doing anything. Took almost 2 hours just to tell him they stopped at the breaks. Mechanic doesn't tell my driver, who was standing next to the truck, anything. Then inside they try to show their attitude, that all the drivers do not understand that walking around for an hour is an actual job and not "doing nothing" type a thing. You guys can tell it to someone who is just a steering wheel holder and not an actual driver or mechanic. Asked how much is to change the shoes on 2 axels, they said 850, we assumed without a tax. For break job. Break shoes only 400. For what? They cost online 100-150 per axel and 450 for the job. Charge is insane. In Chicago two times less. My driver asked how much would be a used tire to use as a spear, 350. He looked at them, and they are almost gone. The dude in the cowboy hat said, they just legal as far as he concerned. They legal for the next 1k mile and you are starnded on the side lf the road. Just telling all the drivers around, do what ever you can and check your truck and trailer at your local reputable shop or go to the shop that does actual work and not walking around with random numbers in their mind. So far the worst place to come. In conclusion driver did not get an inspection or the truck properly check, because random mechanic is wondering around the shop. Just go to next Love's, not saying it's better, but in comparison
