This Office is not runned by the DR's but by the employees.they judge u for who they think u are not for who u are.if the employees don't like u they will tell the Dr a line of BS to have the DR dismiss u from their practice.It happen to both of us.The DR are suppose to listen to there patience but instead they listen to there employees.DR's u should know this (there is 2 Sides to a page not 1 side so before u make a decision read both sides of the page and don't judge the book till u Read the WHOLE Book before u make a decision).Folks look else where for your family practice not this Office.I won't give them the 1 star if it let me give them a (-2 star.)This is just for South Coast Health at CHATMAN Parkway (Only.)Its (Their) word against U so (beware.)

I’d give 0 stars. Dr. Updegraff wouldn’t prescribe my mother her insulin unless she had an appointment which would be over a month out. Due to no insulin she went blind in one of her eyes & partially damaging the other. Updegraff was made aware & didn’t care. Thanks guys!!!! Such a great job not caring about actual people. I understand scheduling, but Insulin is a necessity for my mothers survival. AS A DOCTOR SHOUKD KNOW! Lazy. Heartless. Sick people aren’t money bags. You guys are a joke. Absolutely won’t be the last time you guys hear about it

My husband who is a current patient, called on 8/22 for an appt. He was told Dr. Patel was out of town all week and they had no appts available. Due to the circumstances of his medical need he had to see urgent care. He continued to have issues and reached back out to Suncoast and to no avail they were no help. On 8/25, he was told the nurse would send a note to Dr. Patel letting him know what was going on. Still today, 8/31, we haven't heard from doctor and/ or nurse. Needless to say, we will be finding a new doctor.

Cynthia, unfortunately this is a difficult answer for us to answer. BCBS doesn't have a specific "vision plan". it all depends on who your employer has contracted with for a vision plan. Please reach out to your HR department to find out this information. Sorry we could not be of more help.
