Been doing active business with them since 2009. Always liked Charleston AA. Lately business as far treating small business dealers has gone down tremendously. It’s not just me, many small independent dealers have spoken about the conduct of business towards us. High buy fees, high sell fees, pass psi inspections on big franchises sold vehicles and fail ours over any little thing. The excuses pour in, “covid, short handed, hard to find good help” yep I agree. But when I’m buying 2, or 8 I’m getting charged a average of 350-600 per unit buy fee, 125-225 psi fee. Along with so many others not including the sellers fees. I try to buy there every week. 50 weeks a year if I’m able to. Just recently I bid off a 2019 unit. Lane 6. It was sold to me. Auctioneer said sold. Said my business name. Online bidder clicked in after the hammer had dropped. They discussed it live online and sold it to the online buyer from under me. I contacted the auction/my rep that day. Explained the situation. Response was I should of clicked back in higher. I was the high bidder! Auctioneer sold it. Hammer dropped. What else is left? Auctioneer is a friend. He told them to back it down to me. I have the video if anyone would like to see it I’ll send it to you. I have other things, as in vehicles arriving with the same milage that was on the unit when it went through the sale. Aren’t they supposed to drive them when paying for a psi??? I didn’t ask them for a thing except honesty. I got treated like I liar and making false accusations and taking to long to do anything about it, lol. I contracted them right then. And if you know Charleston like I do, good luck getting through to them on auction evening which is somewhat understandable. It’s not everyone there. The place is great. As before I said I always like Charleston AA. But this kinda thing needs to stop. We (smaller independent dealers) are just as important as anyone else. Playing field should be fair for all. Had the same problem with southeastern AA which I think is their sister sale. I don’t want to get into all that. I contacted them though all the channels I knew how to. Was made to feel like I was the bad guy when I know what happened. Just wanted to vent about it in hopes it could trigger a change in service. Thanks

Yes if you're a dealer and want to run with the bid dogs. Dive in the professional auctioneers would love to see a rookie bidder.
