Ok, this company has been building out Fathers additional handicap bathroom and a game room who is A veteran and disabled since February, We put half down up front and purchase all the materials to build out the frame of addition, They left all the wood and pallet of concrete out in the weather conditions uncovered til they actually finally started in late April. We had to buy more concrete and materials for them after they said they would replace it which never happened. there is black mold on boards and also concrete was solid, no good to use, boards also warped and used these materials to build frame, roof and walls. The work is not moving and they go a week or 2 without going out to even finish or even call the client to let them know what's going on and don't answer calls. Job even been inspected (which failed) and failed to move forward. They still need to get inspections done and build out the inside of additions. This job has been going on since February and so we told them in August to stop cause they still haven't done anything. They would disappear for couple weeks and never hear from them. We also bought a tub which that company has been waiting on them to build inside so they can install tub customer purchased. My father is a disabled war veteran, senior citizen who has been paying on 2 mortgages now since. They have went through a couple of GC who both were not happy with the way company was handling this job. Oh yeah and your response to my Friends post was nothing but lies. We purchased all materials plus more that was ruined. So when we put down half it was not 30% and you used it for materials. And tried to also make us pay for all the contractors cause you couldnt as agreed. We agreed to pay half up front and rest later, not pay for everything in between. Our porch was cut cause you never updated the contractors and now I have to fix it myself. You are a great talker but that is all. You do not know how to communicate with clients and update or even stay on task. 6 months and only got up a shell so we had to stop work with you guys. Empty promises is all we got from you and your company. People please do your research on companies and check BBB which is good too and check with state. Do not go with this company

Everything about my experience was excellent. Their price was competitive, people were great to work with, they finished on time, and the quality of work was excellent.

The most common plumbing problems are clogged drains and toilets, leaky faucets and pipes, water heater issues, low water pressure, and a running toilet. While most of these can be solved in a DIY fashion, some more serious issues will require a licensed professional to come out and assess issues with your current plumbing system.
Toilets typically use the most water in the home, beating out showers, dishwashers, and sinks. This is because of the frequency toilets are often used. You can adjust the water level that the basin fills up to with a couple of quick adjustments. Also, there is the option to install a low-flush toilet, which uses less water.
The best way to prevent your pipes from freezing is by insulating your pipes. If you are not able to insulate your pipes you can leave the water on a slow drip on very cold nights. The water constantly running will prevent your pipes from freezing.
The biggest benefit of a tankless water heater is that they never run out of hot water. A storage tank hot water has a limited capacity (whatever the size of the tank), while a tankless can heat unlimited amounts as it passes through the system. Tankless water heaters can also save you money by only heating the water you use, not the amount of water that is sitting in the storage tank.
The most common cause of faucet leaks is a corroded gasket, o-ring, or valve. This is often an easy fix. Most of the time, those parts can simply be replaced without replacing the whole faucet.
The most common reason for this is a clogged drain basket. Start by running your garbage disposal. From there clean your sink's air gap and remove standing water. A shop vacuum is recommended for this. Clean up any detergent that could have accumulated on sensors. Check the drain basket/ filter in the bottom of your dishwasher and clean it out thoroughly. At this point check the drain hose for kinks, as well as any possible clogs/ obstructions. If necessary replace the drain hose and if problems persist then contact a licensed professional.
In short, no. Chemical drain cleaners can cause damage to pipes. The chemicals can cause degradation when used in old pipes repeatedly. When used in plastic pipes, chemical drain cleaners create heat which can damage the plastic pipes. In addition to possible damage to your home's plumbing system, chemical drain cleaners are bad for the environment and septic systems.
Your garbage disposal can handle fruit scraps, fruit pits, vegetable scraps, corn cobs, cooked meat, small bones, leftovers, and ice. Avoid grease, oil, none food items, fibrous vegetables and peels, eggshells, shellfish, and coffee grounds.
This is often the result of the handle getting stuck. This causes the flapper to remain open which will allow water to continue to flow into the bowl. Fixes could include tightening, lubricating, or replacing the handle.
The most common signs to tell if your plumbing system requires service include odd sounds coming from the faucets, low water pressure, unpleasant smells coming from the drains, sinks or tubs draining slowly, and stained or damaged walls.
When dealing with leaks it is important to keep in mind that water wants to find the path of least resistance to travel, which means that your leak could present itself in parts of your house that aren't close to the actual leak. One solution is to go into your attic or crawl space with a flashlight the next time it rains and try to trace the leak. Visible signs, such as pooling water or damaged drywall/building materials should be present. However, this isn't always effective due to walls or other physical obstructions blocking your view. The most accurate way to track the leak is to have a professional come out and access the leak.
Most damage that a roof will take on is the direct force of nature. Severe weather, including typhoons, haboobs, hailstorms, snowstorms, and tornados contribute to the degradation of a roof. Algae and mildew, as well as sunlight, can also be a source of roof damage.
One of the big questions to ask is the age of the roof. If a roof is older than 15 years it may be time to contact a local contractor to inspect your roof and give their recommendation on how to proceed. Generally speaking cracked, broken and curled shingles can be replaced individually and are often the cause of issues like leaks. Roofs with widespread issues are more likely to need replacing, as the whole roof system may be compromised.
If your roof is old and underperforming, roof replacement can help lower energy bills. Ideally, an attic should remain close to the outside temperature, but overheating in this space during the summer is a sign of inadequate ventilation. This inadequate ventilation can cause an HVAC system to work much harder than necessary. A new roof helps ensure that your HVAC system can work properly and keep stress off the system causing more power to be consumed.
Your roofing system is comprised of several layers, all performing a different function. Generally speaking, replacing the entire system is the best route for improving the roof’s performance. The different layers of a roof can include leak barrier protection, sythetic roof deck protection, starter strip shingles, lifetime shingles, and ventilation.
In short no. There are projects which can be completed with a DIY mentality, however, due to the dangers of working on ones' roof, completing a roof replacement yourself isn't something that should be attempted. Not only do thousands of Americans die annually from falling from roofs, but you could be violating your roof's current warranty which could wind up costing you down the line.
Weather typically plays the largest factor in timing when to get your roof replaced. While contractors work year-round, factors like snow, rain, ice, and sleet can impact how quickly roofers can safely and effectively get their roof finished.
There is no straightforward answer because every roof is different. Roofing contractors consider a few factors when pricing out new roof installations: size, old roof removal, style, shape, materials, and labor. In addition to these factors, your roof could include other features like chimneys, skylights, and vents that need to be factored into the cost. Contact a licensed roofer near you to get an accurate quote.
The longevity of your roof will depend on its materials, its installation, and its ventilation. Weather conditions may also impact the life of your roof. A well-constructed roof can last between 12-15 years. Depending on the quality and type of shingles you chose and the underlayment of your roof, that number can go up to 30 or more years.
When assessing whether or not to replace your roof the first question that should be asked is "How old is my roof?". Most roofs will last around 15 years but signs that it is time to replace your roof could include: holes in your roof, missing or damaged shingles, or leaks.
