Great shop and wonderful crew. I brought my grandson's bike in for a minor repair and the fixed on the spot at no charge.

Questions & Answers

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

We require masks upon entry and have social distancing markers throughout the store. There is hand sanitizer at the front door and the cash register. All employees wear masks and have been vigilant about staying in their social bubbles and not going to highly populated places.

Do you have an adult tri wheel bike may be even electric? Thanks.

Raymond, Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, we don't have access to an electric or regular tricycle or three wheeled recumbent. If you happen to find one online, we are happy to assemble it for a fee. Good luck in your search, Chad

We are taking a Christmas vacation to Asheville from Louisiana. Is it generally safe to ride bicycles in town? Would we need additional gear or new tires? Thanks!

The main recommendation I'd make is that you make sure you have adequate gearing on your bike for climbing. We have lots of hills everywhere. Also, be advised that there are no shoulders on most roads here. One must ride in the lane and own the lane.

I have a Peugeot 27” U08 ten speed that I purchased in 1975 or 76, in very good shape except for broken front Simplex derailleur. Trying to find out what it is worth or if someone locally (Asheville area) would be interested in purchasing.

Hello James, While Asheville Bicycle Co doesn't purchase vintage bicycles, we would recommend Craigslist or selling online. Determining a price should be easy with a little Googling. Good luck with the sale, Chad Shop Manager
