If u really need somewhere to stay n ok with paying the fee ur giving every month then yea . If u wanna learn tools to help u mentally n emotionally then yea . But be ready for u not to have no free time outside of the weekends n a few during the week. Be ready for them to be all in ur business. Be ready to sign in n out every time u leave . Be ready for them to talk to u like u a child . They do not help with getting on ur feet like housing or finding a job . If u have a diploma of any kind fed hs college be ready for them to make u go through classes like u don’t have it . I would not recommend unless u plan to stay for 3 months at most

I lived here for six months March- September in 2014. In June I passed my CNA exam and and I got my first CNA job in August. My work hours were 2pm- 10:30pm (Curfew was 8pm). I wouldn’t get back until 1am because I was catching the bus and because I would have to pick up and drop off my child at daycare (which was in south Minneapolis). Jill Frank was my case manager at the time, I told her about my new job and she said it would be a problem because it’s passed curfew. She said she would have to talk with her supervisor, after talking to her supervisor I was told to either find another job (day shift) or I would have to leave. I chose to leave and I had to be out by September 15th. One day when I arrived (around 1am) getting off work and getting my baby from daycare, as soon as I walked in the receptionist made me take a drug test (smh) and I couldn’t even close the bathroom door. I think it was wrong for them to give me an ultimatum at least I had a job (evening shift was the only shift available). The rooms are nice you have your own bathroom, mini fridge, and microwave. They also serve three meals per day Monday thru Friday. Rent wasn’t bad either I paid $180/month.

My mom had custody of me so my dad used to take me there all the time for supervised visitation and that’s why The building is called the Naomi center, after me
