Academic Writing is one of the multiple classes offered by MELP. In my opinion the course great content does not match the pace.Different topics are touched in a superficial way.No consideration is given to an appropriate period of time for practice. Such unthoughtful approach makes this class chaotic and as a result poorly organized. Also, the quality of this course is significantly lowered by instructor Ellen Wormwood. Ellen’s communication skills show serious deficits. The most surprising aspect is lack of professionalism. I wonder how often MELP management assesses instructors professional suitability. Who evaluates their professional development? Is it the job that should be done by the U of M administration? Also, does this educational institution establish a dress code for their employees? Ellen Wormwood wears a sport outfit and a winter hat when she meets students and professionals.Who is in charge to teach her a class etiquette? Please train her for the job or replace.

I had an awesome experience during my one year of MELP program. I extremely encourage you to take classes at MELP. The professors and staff members are awesome and extremely professional. Furthermore, MELP provides you a mix of activities in which help you to improve your English skills. For example, Culture Talk and Friday's activities. Definitely in my opinion, MELP has the best advisor Sara who helps a lot the international student.

My experience with MELP is Awesome ❤️I love the people there. They helped me and supported me all the time that I was student learning English. I can't write about MELP because, my words are not enough to describe them! I LOVED being there if you get the chance to be there, don’t hesitate.

I studies at MELP for six months. It was a great experience. I learned so much and I spent remarkable times. I also had so much help when I needed it from teachers and MELP’s admin staff.
