It's a day center for the homeless shelter. In addition it's an emergency food pantry in between the food bank days, plus we have clothes and hygiene products for anyone in the community in need. It is unusual to have a Food donation turn down, I'm not sure who you spoke with but if you call between 8 and 3, Monday-friday I'm there and would be more than happy to help you and receive your donation.
Go there with the donations. RIng the doorbell at the front door.

You can go inside and directly give people food,water,etc... You can also drop anything off that you feel is necessary
They give you a voucher to get help from schuylkill community action
