I moved & got lucky choosing Dr. Price because she was close. Now we've moved & we make the drive to continue seeing her and ALL of her staff, really, all of them are great! You will see that they enjoying working there and that makes it so much easier & enjoyable going to the doctor.

The staff that work at Port Royal Eye Care are some of the nicest I've ever encountered in any medical office. However, after going there for the last several years, I won't be returning. My problem is that while they are happy to answer questions, you have to know what questions to ask. If you don't know what to ask, don't expect them to explain things to you that you wish you had known about the lenses you will be getting. It's very frustrating to wait 5-10 days for new glasses, only to find out what was prescribed and custom made is essentially useless for your lifestyle. I don't feel I should have to be extra proactive in asking questions. They are the supposed experts, and have the experience. They should be guiding you through the process and ensuring that you understand what you will be receiving. My other problem is that I received two different answers to a single, seemingly routine question. On the day of my most recent exam, I asked Dr. Price if I would ever be a candidate for surgery (e.g. Lasik, etc.). She said no. When I returned to their office after the glasses they provided were unusable for daily life, Dr. Price then said that surgery was an option. I realize people make mistakes, but I get the sense that wasn't the case here.

It’s always a great experience when I’m there. They are friendly, knowledgeable and caring. I made the mistake of letting my vision insurance convince me to go somewhere else and it didn’t save me money and the service was nowhere near what I receive at Port Royal Eye Care so of course I went right back.

You can always do a "gift card" Set up his appointment and work it out with his Dr. to let him pick out what he wants and they can always call you for the payment after he leaves.
I have VSP Insurance and they accept that.
