Caring, loving volunteers at HSSPV. Well organized and maintained. Love that they have volunteers who can visit and walk/exercise the dogs giving them "special" attention.

This is a great place to adopt your new favorite family member with fur.

we have fostered both kittens and puppies with HSSPL for years they truly care about the animals and work to find the best home for them

We recently adopted a dog from the HSSPV and the ladies that work there were great. They were knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of my questions. The process was straight forward and the dogs all seemed happy and well cared for.

Yes, in fact most of their animals are from kill shelters in Texas and New Mexico
All animal shelters spay and neuter their animals.
They will usually take most things you bring to them as long as they are pretty clean and stuff :3
I found a dog. And was able to drop it off. They can check to see if it has a microchip.
I believe they always do. Contact the humane society directly for details.
? Call & ask. Or maybe it's on their website. I think they require u to chip ur pet before you can take him/her home...and I'm pretty sure that's about $25
Ask your neighbors at times cats get locked in sheds, garages, ect. You should Micro Chip The Platt Valley Shelter only charges $35.00 I believe. It's no more than that. Also I'm a true believer of cats being inside only. Except if your willing to build a small catio. Sorry for what your going thru its awful. Hope you find him soon. Also folks at Platt are beyond wonderful! Best of luck.
We do offer cremation services, however, we are not offering euthanasia at this time.
If they are old enough. I believe it is 18
Elinor, I'm sorry to hear that about your kitty. Cats hide their health issues which can make it hard to detect. I thinks it's great that your ready to adopt and share all that love for a new fur baby. Please give them a call. If you get the voicemail, they're probably busy with the fur babies and will get back to you shortly. The staff and volunteers are fabulous and very caring and you will enjoy working with them. Good luck and maybe we'll see a picture of you with your new baby on their FB page. Thank you for considering HSSPV.
If you look on the website it shows all the pets available.
We are open by appointment only at this time. Additionally, our vet staff is usually not in on Mondays, so we might not be able to help today anyway. The staff will give you a call back as soon as they are able to and they will arrange a time for you to get the stitches out promptly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated as we are receiving a high volume of calls at this time and the team is still adjusting to all of the continually changing circumstances. Apologies for the frustration, and we understand if you had to go to another clinic, but hopefully we can help you! Thank you for supporting HSSPV.
Just take the dog to the shelter.
Course
They are a no kill shelter, but please keep in mind a lot of Denver has a Pittie ban. If they can rehome before they move and are unable to bring their dogs, it would be much better for the dogs
Yes $60.00 plus $12.00 a day.
They have cats. I never seen any other animals.
Still there
They are not free. Price varies by age usually. Your fee helps feed and keep shelter open so they can continue doing what they do great. So worth it. I just love my dog i adopted from there.
Keep checking yes, but be aware that if someone else interested in the same dog it becomes a lottery as to who gets to adopt.
You would need to give the Humane Society a call directly im sure its very reasonable. Im sorry to hear about your loss.
You got to pay for the vaccination and for the pet to be neutered and a small adoption fee, but t dont know the exact cost its been so long since i have adopted a pet from there.
No you do not get paid for volunteering
Call dumb friends league and they will explain everything
I agree with Fuq, and in addition, make sure your local shelters have your current contact information and a photo/description of your dog. Then check back with them roughly once per week. I hope you find your service dog.
