As my mother, a resident of Kindred Place for over 7 years, was in the hospital dying I travelled from my home in MD to care for her and be by her side. During that time KP refused to allow me to stay in her apartment so I had to stay in a hotel over 60 nights. The hospital also had a NO Visitors policy but because my mother’s death was imminent. they made an exception and allowed me to be with her every day until she passed away. KP could’ve also made that exception but they did not even consider doing so. I think they should change their name because “kindred” implies something they are not.

My Father, almost 92, has lived at Kindred Place for over 14 years. From the time he moved in, through his aging process, and still now, he loves it there! The amazing administrative staff and all of the CNAs love and care about him and go above and beyond to make sure he is happy and comfortable and enjoying life. If we ever have an unusual request or need, the director is right there brainstorming with us to figure out a solution that works for all involved. There is regular entertainment, frequent activities and good food served in a lovely dining room. The property is located at the foot of the Blue Mountains which makes for stunning balcony views. We are so truly fortunate to have found such a perfect place for Dad to live his "platinum" years.
