I was in the area and had dinner next door. It was busy as usual, the person that took care of my partner and I was a bit disconnected and overwhelmed it seemed. My partner ordered and she went straight to the register, I ordered with her at the register, she went back and she started helping people on the line. Liz the other attendant stepped in and made my order. I hope that she is recognized because I can tell she carries the weight for the both of them on shift. GREAT JOB LIZ!!!!

Have never tried ice cream as DELICIOUS as this! Wow! I had the homemade waffle cone, with the brown sugar cookie dough ice cream... it was heavenly. It's pretty much dark brown sugar ice cream, with cookie dough, candied walnuts and brownies. THEN topped with hot fudge sauce and sprinkles. Can you think of anything more tasty!? I wish we had ice cream like this in the UK...

I ordered a two scoop cone. When the guy handed it to me, the ice cream fell out of it and onto the counter. To be clear, I was still holding the cone, but the ice cream was balancing on the top of it and not packed in, which is why it fell. I quickly scooped it back into the cone, to avoid a bigger mess, and handed it back to the guy, who proceeded to scoop THE SAME ICE CREAM THAT FELL ON THE COUNTER into a cup and hand it back to me. I asked him to make me a new one —because 1) it wasn’t my fault 2) it’s unsanitary to eat ice cream that touched the counter 3) I ordered a cone, not a cup and he said he couldn’t “because unfortunately you dropped it”. I insisted and he finally made me a new one, which he angrily handed at me. To top it all of, all flavors my party ordered (four between all of us) were crystallized, which is very concerning food safety wise

As opposed to some oat milk ice creams that use diglycerides and guar gum, we believe that if it’s not in your vocabulary, it shouldn’t be in your ice cream. That’s why our vegan oat milk ice cream is made with only quality ingredients using only simple recipes. And made without any junk. No sirree. Not around here.
Eggs. Plenty of ’em. Turns out, when you use twice as many egg yolks as the standard ice cream you have to call it French Ice Cream. Fine by us. Because whether it’s using more eggs or having to legally change our name, we’ll do anything to make the best ice cream on Earth.

Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill started Van Leeuwen Ice Cream out of a yellow truck on the streets of NYC in 2008, with the mission to make good ice cream, from good ingredients, that makes you feel good. Learn more about our story and mission on our website.
Not exactly, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream was founded in NYC by brothers Ben and Pete Van Leeuwen (American with a Dutch Dad) and Laura O’Neill (an Australian living in America)
Since we are in America “Van (like the car) Lou (like the name) Inn (like the hotel).” If we were in the Netherlands “Von (the Von Trapp Family) Lei (Like the Hawaiian flower necklace) Vin (Like French for wine).”
