A lot of store no longer sale them because of cell phone & Voice over internet protocol. Video chatting apps. Can purchase from a staples store & allow local phone companies to hook up the land line. Verizon still hook up landlines.
They can look up their records going back a year. If a receipt cannot be located at all you will get store credit or exchange less 20%

If you bought online from BB&B I don't think it should be a problem because the sell things online they're easy to work with.
At 9am, but if you're there a couple of minutes before 9am they let you in.
Just go to the customer service desk. Bed Bath and Beyond have very generous return policies, so you shouldnt have any issues.
