Slow Silent Stories
This review maybe late but I am writing one. This is the store I originally took my Covid Vaccine two shot Moderna during Summer 2021 (Friday June 25, 2021 first shot and Friday July 23, 2021 both after 8PM). I started planning to take Covid Shot back in April 2021. Due to long lines and difficultly in scheduling at night for Covid 19 shots, I came to this Rite Aid 1849 2nd avenue in beginning of May 2021 to make an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised this was the only place that allowed night appointments along with walk ins when available. I tried to make appointment in early May 2021 but to reschedule many times due to work ending late. I appreciated they left messages and allowed me to reschedule many times over. Eventually I was able to successfully take my first shot on June 25, 2021 after 8pm. The person who provided shot was informative and competent in giving the shot along with filling out the appropriate paperwork. She offered me Johnson and Johnson Covid Vaccine but I declined knowing Moderna was the better choice. Knowing I had to take it at exactly four weeks I was determined to not lose this appointment. The same exact person did the second shot for the vaccine on July 23, 2021. Due to the success of taking my covid vaccine here I decided to take my flu shot here on Wednesday December 15, 2021. Unfortunately they don't have Moderna vaccine anymore so I had to go somewhere else for my Covid Booster Shot. Overall a great 5 Star experience.

Today, I had to wait over an hour to pick up my medications. People at the pharmacy are completely ignoring the customers . I had to complain multiple times and then could pick up my medications.

Beware of the pharmacy in this Rite Aid. I picked up a prescription, meant to be an antibiotic. I gave the clerk my name and DOB in written form. Despite this, I was given another customer’s medication, which contains an ingredient I am notably allergic to. It’s noted on all my information that I am allergic to this drug and it was dispensed to me anyway. I did not realize it was not my prescription until I had taken a dose. Sarah, the pharmacist supervisor on duty was so kind and helpful with securing me an epipen due to my allergy. Her customer service and assistance was appreciated but this should NEVER have happened and it’s extremely irresponsible of their clerk to just hand people medication without even verifying the details. In this line of work I would assume it is clear mistakes cannot be made.
