This museum is a collection of two brothers that traveled the world in the 1800s and crested this collection. Upstairs you'll find a collection of Japanese and Chinese artifacts. Main floor has a collection of Native American and local artifacts. They do have a room upstairs that.is for special exhibits. Now through Dec. 31, 2021 is an exhibit of photographs from local artisits. They do have an elevator for those who have difficulty doing stairs and is wheel chair accessible.

If you like museums, this is the best $5.00 you'll ever spend. I thought I was in a mini version of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Priceless artifacts everywhere you look. Just the weaponry alone was worth the price of admission. (How did they ever machine a rifle barrel 200+ years ago?!) The inside of the building is bigger than it looks and everything is artfully displayed. A must see even if you don't tour the rest of the village.

The museum is greatly limited right now for remodeling. You should call them and ask for an opening date which I believe is late spring. They would not get rid of them but probably have most of their collections in storage during the remodel. I believe if you call them you can buy a book of pictures that have all of the museums collections.
