When I moved up here from Manhattan my search for men's hair cutting, both in Barber Shops and Women's salons, yielded the most unsatisfactory results. My cuts always took 12-minutes and were mostly buzzed instead of carefully hand-cut. Finally, I discovered Carmita. Carmita is the Master of the scissor cut. I grew up in Manhattan and used a haircutter who worked years in Vidal Sasson's NYC Salon. He was a master of men's scissor-cutting and always spent half the time doing a hair-by-hair finale. It took longer than a 12-minute ordinary Barber Shop buzzer cut BUT the hair cut grew back in during the following three weeks looking always like it was just cut. Perfect, each time. Carmita is an artist and a rare find for me. Best in the Hudson Valley!
