This space has been one of the most inviting and welcoming communities I’ve ever been a part of. Katherine really makes you feel like you’re a part of a collective family with plenty of events, including national pirate day! She keeps things fun with happy hours every Friday, crepes made to order, and other great community events. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a space to work, whether you need an office for your startup or a desk to work remotely from! Huge energy at the Alkaloid!

I really enjoyed my day visit at the Alkaloid. They make sure you're feeling happy, and supported. The amenities were a plus, and the work spaces are very functional and spacious! I will be back for sure :)

Alkaloid Networks saved us: we were storm refugees, and found ourselves in a situation where we NEEDED an ethernet connection. Katherine helped us out, was very welcoming, and very patient. The place is clean, light, and well appointed, IMO. Sign up with the Croissant app, reserve your space and work! Great place.

Friendly Office Space and people here.

The Wifi is screaming fast! Google Fiber is the primary provider with Comcast Business Class as the backup (can you say redundancy?). I just ran a speed test and it's burning up with 866 download and 91 upload.
Yes! In fact, there is a Blink station right outside our main entrance. And members get a discount. Yay!
Zip. Zero. Nada. If you need to print or scan, just use on of our two printers. I only ask that you 'do a girl a favor' and bring some paper if you are going to print a lot.
A few times each year, we have specials. During December, we usually offer a big discount for prepaid annual memberships and in the summer, we have a 3-month prepaid special. Sometimes we throw in a little something at Valentine's Day or St Pattys.
It always makes me sad when I don't have what someones needs. However, things change regularly and desks/offices come available unexpectedly (someone has to move, employment changes, etc). For that reason, I keep a wait list handy so I can always reach out.
Members have unlimited free access to conference rooms. Non-members can rent a conference room on the DeskPass.com site.
None, we live in the 21st century here at Alkaloid Networks. However, the Intown Business Center is 1/2 mile away with super friendly people that can accommodate you.
Easy peasy! Just let the friendly staff know and any outstanding credit will be applied to whatever new membership you want at the end of the month.
We don't sell day passes directly. However, we are a part of the Croissant network (getcroissant.com) and you can pay for your time here by the hour. Although, if you plan to come more than once, an Alkaloid Networks membership is a better deal for you.
We are always following the most current CDC recommendations: https://alkaloid.net/the-new-work-normal-with-the-covid-vaccine/ We also have a plan in place to protect the community in the event of Covid exposure. https://alkaloid.net/atlanta-coworking-covid-exposure-response/ Our community has been wonderful about taking care of each other and following the policies in the interest of everyone here (along with our extended community).
No cost! Members have unlimited access to our 4 conference rooms (although we do ask that members not treat them like private offices and camp out all day - they are a shared resource that we all use). Conference rooms are not available to non-members in order to make sure that members have access when they need it.
Absolutely! We have bike racks inside each door. Since we are right on the Beltline, we have a lot of members that ride to work each day.
We have fresh fruit delivered weekly from local coop, Fresh Harvest. We also have non-perishable snacks (i.e. Popchips, almonds, trail mix, granola bars, etc.) available. We try to get the healthier versions of snacks for our members. Oh, and their all included with your membership.
The shared desk memberships have access M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm. Dedicated desks and private offices have 24/7 access.
Heck yeah! In fact, our founder got the mayor to issue a proclamation making it Atlanta Coworking Day too. To celebration Atlanta Coworking Day, Alkaloid Networks in O4W is offering: - FREE coworking that day - Bringing Julianna's Crepes in the morning and King of Pops in the afternoon - Get 20% off your first month of membership when you join that day
Everything! When I first opened, I fully expected tech and creatives to fill the space. However, we have an amazingly diverse membership. We all prefer to be part of a diversified community while we work to achieve our goals on a personal, business or company level. Everyone here finds a rich communal experience. Connection with others is the big reason we prefer community-based learning while growing through our experience. You'll find arborists, economists, chiropractors, non-profits of all flavors, plenty of remote workers AND the tech and creative types mentioned above.
Yes, a large portion of our community is accessible including most of the amenities.
Yes! Four years ago, we made one of our conference a space for nursing moms. There is a lock for the door and blinds to provide privacy. And there is even signage that indicates this a safe nursing space for moms.
Alkaloid has podcast equipment that is available (at no charge) for members to use. It is located in one of the four conference rooms here.
The owner is in the community every day. She is available to answer questions and assist with anything needed. She is also a great 'connector' and helps members connect with each other's services.
Yes, memberships can start any time. We bill on the 1st of month, so your first payment will be prorated for the remainder of the month that you join. After that, you’ll always be billed for the full amount on the 1st of the month.
There are 8 shared desks for your use when you are here. 4 of those have monitors. All are 1st come, 1 serve. However, we close watch the occupancy of the shared desks since we wouldn't like it someone couldn't find a spot. In 6 years, not once has someone not been able to use a shared desk. There are also loads of other spots tucked away throughout the community to sit. Including our cover patio (which are especially fabulous on lovely spring and fall days).
For most memberships, we request a 30 day notice in writing. Private offices require a 60 day notice.
Yes, you can meet with clients and colleagues. Should your guests need to stay at Alkaloid Networks beyond your meeting time, we ask that they purchase a day pass through DeskPass or GetCroissant. If they need to come in on a frequent basis, the best option (and price!) is to get a membership of their own.
Alkaloid has been very active in the local community for years. We are members of the O4WBA and the IPNA. Alkaloid has been a sponsor of the Inman Park Wine Stroll, donated dedicated desks to the IPCP and IPNA silent auctions for over 3 years. All while advertising in the monthly IPNA neighborhood newsletter for over 4 years. Alkaloid's owner, Katharine, is active in the region by founding the Atlanta Coworking Alliance which brings independent coworking spaces together to help members with additional benefits. Alkaloid is a partner with the Un.Inc which brings online learning to founders and creators of all types. All membership levels include access to ongoing education sessions (10+ per month). Lastly, Alkaloid is a member of GCUC which offers healthcare insurance as well as included.co which provides discounts for members on all types of products and services.
Currently, there is only one location on the Eastside Beltline. However, we have reciprocity at hundreds of domestic and international coworking spaces. We are a member of the Atlanta Coworking Alliance, the Coworking VISA and GCUC Places which gives our members many options when they need a community away from their Alkaloid home.
We've had a partnership with local roaster, Firelight Coffee for over 4 years. Not only do they supply the coffee here at the office, they also offer a discount to Alkaloid members that want to enjoy it at home. We also enjoy local Banjo Coffee cold brew.
All the things! We signed the pledge to public safety with the O4WBA and the Atlanta Coworking Alliance as well as the GA Safety Promise. You can review the details of things we are doing here: https://alkaloid.net/preventing-covid19-at-work/
Alkaloid has a large patio to work on with a portion of it covered. Members enjoy making calls and/or working here or on the rooftop deck.
Yes! Alkaloid Networks is part of the Atlanta Coworking Alliance which offers reciprocal offers and discounts across the metro Atlanta area. https://www.atlantacoworking.club/ Alkaloid Networks is also part of the Coworking VISA program, offering benefits with other spaces all over the globe. Alkaloid Networks is additionally part of the Crossiant coworking network. https://www.getcroissant.com/
Yes, although how the events occur has evolved during the past 6 months. Initially, we moved everything to virtual. We began a partnership with an online education group in June and now offer 10+ virtual sessions each month. Access to these sessions is included in very level of membership and many members have found it a great benefit. More recently, we've held our monthly coffee club gathering outside on our great patio.
The is loads of free parking! Not only is there parking in the courtyard right outside our door, the entire gravel lot behind Ladybird is available for our building to use for free.
