I was justbat the store 2 hours ago and i had no problems purchading what i needed. The website was correct in regaurds to my needs. And staff was friendly. Helped me find the plugs and plastics thatbi yraveled there to purchase.
On the higher end like reel you cant go wrong with the star rod 7ft mediums . the vpr rod is a beast all around jigging and would be great for eels. Casting jigs. And the lower cost stars in same action perfomend very well live lining throwing eels too cobias for me. My best was 60lb cobia and that rod 7ft medium heavy with 4000 stradic. Van stal matched with the vpr would be a great match. No need for higher end rod once you put a vpr in your hand you will love it flounder wreck tossing jigs soft tip dam near unbreakable. I couldn't recommend anything other to put with it. Get the cheaper stars for other guests on your boat or if you can afford to outfit them by all means outfit your boat they will give you a deal on more then one. Talk to mananger.good fishing
You can call to place an order and use the gift card balance over the phone. Unfortunately, we had consistent technical issues taking our own gift cards online and have removed that payment option at checkout until we have it properly resolved to avoid ongoing customer order issues. Digital eGift Certificates can be used online in the Promo Code field, but a physical TackleDirect gift card must be used over the phone or in our retail store in NJ.
Joe, We are still waiting on more of the Van Staal VR150 reels in silver. We do have the black in-stock. As soon as we get more of the silver reels in, we will be spooling up your reel with the braid and shipping out the reel as quickly as we possibly can. You will receive tracking via email as soon as it gets packed up. If you would like to swap to the black VR150, please let us know and we will take care of that right away for you. Hans, We do carry a 10' Lamiglass surf rod. Unfortunately, shipping such a rod becomes cost prohibitive due to the length. The rod is available through our retail store location. I hope this information has been useful.
