A great place for intergenerational fishing.

This park is awesome.

I have been here many of times (mostly as a kid), and even remembered when the pier was actually T-shaped (and one half, facing Cape Henlopen, was closed due to fire damage. Hopefully with time and funding, the pier would be extended back out to it's former glory.

Large fishing pier but pretty crowded. Note you will need a Delaware fishing license to fish here and they do check for licenses.

The walk from the parking lot is not far at all. The pier, itself, is about 1/4 mile long. I dont believe it costs anything to fish on the pier, just the fee to get into the park.
The sign right by the bait shop says NO Bicycles, and if you do everyone on the pier will let you know about it.

Depends on the tide forsure. You definitely need to have a long handled net or gaff. I would think its about a 10ft average maybe touch more.
It is handicap accessible. There is some parking, but i did notice the curb is accessible for wheel chairs, walkers, etc. My father has been there in an electric wheelchair before and had no problems
Yes parking and bait shop on site
Yes
Sand, Beach it, no dock, low tide will leave you dragging it back to the water. At least 200' or more to the south of the fishing pier will keep you off the worst of the bar.
No pets are allowed on the pier. There is a sign right before you pass the gate that states it as such.
Yes
Yes, you need a license. I'm sure you can catch sharks here, but we haven't yet.
It is open 24 hours a day unless it is storming they close the pier gates. There is a box at the very front entrance that you can put your money into.
Yes!
And whatever you do don't ride your bicycle on it. You'll get hit in the head with a 4 oz. Sinker by one of the local anglers.
Not there today. Was there in the fall of last year. Croakers were small but plentiful then.
