I have a TPO against my husband. I was at the TPO office waiting for a copy to bring to the school for both children covered under the TBO. They had me sit there so I could be served by the court, as I was waiting they let the respondent arrange for the children to be taken from school and violation of the TPO. The panic and fear because the advocate agency did not advocate for me the victim or the children they were put in harm's Way directly due to their actions. They also let the perpetrator have access to legal aid, while I was trying to take care of number one which was safety. They offered no support for cameras at the home. They didn't offer any extra copies of the TPO which cost the state $0.50 per page that I had to pay for. I also had Cobb county Police out because my husband had broke into the home after the TPO and failed to make a report. If this is supposed to be an advocate agency it is not set up to succeed nor really help. Legal aid should be in the same office as TPO and victims should have the right to representation in front of a judge. They offered nothing other than here's how you feel out a piece of paper and submitted it. I also was told that in order to get an continuance I had to provide a doctor's note due to chronic medical condition. The stress of this caused me great emotional strain. And quite frankly revictimized me.

I was a client in LiveSafe last year. I must say the staff is okay with a few exceptions to the power trip director and a few others. The director Yolanda has no compassion, or empathy and shouldn’t be directing anything, or anyone. Some of the staff act like we’re lost causes and controls the donations as if they were theirs. I left the shelter due to extenuating circumstances and was so heartbroken. This place did nothing to really help me and I ended up back in the same situation. 🤦🏽‍♀️ God forbid if I ever have to deal with power tripping people who suppose to help but seem to deter you even more.
