This restaurant uses grocery store bought tortillas when their tortilla machine goes down, I know this because the staff literally told us when I asked why the tortillas taste different. And for anyone who's never tasted a grocery store tortilla, they are disgusting, I was trying to be polite with the staff when I said they “tasted different”. There are many other issues with quality however, I mentioned the tortillas specifically because it baffles me that they buy tortillas from the grocery store and then re-sell them to you for an inflated price and pretend that they're real “authentic Mexican food”. Some of the other quality issues I've had in the past 6 months: *Inconsistent quality in chips, chewy, greasy, or too salty *Chicken having strange flavors, tastes like they left grill cleaner on the grill *Completely forgetting dishes when ordering takeout. 3 years ago this restaurant used to be perfect, I never used to have these kind of issues before. if I had to guess what went wrong, I think it has something to do with the management, looking at the reviews on indeed, a lot of the employees don't seem happy, especially with the new management, which is a shame, because when their food is good, it's good! I know I spent this entire review bashing uncle julios, but that's because I genuinely love their food, and it's a shame to see them slowly deteriorating like this, whatever's happening with the management, I hope they get their act straight, because I want to see this restaurant go back to its glory days. -edit. I forgot to mention, this is my first Google review, but unlike those “local guide” reviewers that have hundreds of reviews on their account, I actually go here on a consistent basis, 3 times a week on average, only take out however, maybe once or twice a year will I actually sit down in the restaurant to eat

Tortillas are not soft as they used to be. They tasted like they were warmed in the microwave. Our waitress was the worst. I will never return to this place. Go somewhere else!

Place is pretty decent. The menu is quite pricey for the portions you get.
