I must say this was the worst mistake in picking this venue for dinner as the service was not good at all, food was not good either especially for the price paid and waistress made several errors with our order and the staff was unorganized. Atmosphere was not good and needless to say I was very disappointed ☹️☹️☹️

Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. I ordered a full rack of ribs that were suppose to be "fall off the bone ribs". Not true. Ribs were fatty and the meat did not fall off the bone. Very tough.

This was my first time. But it won't be the last .My server Andy was awesome, polite and pleasant. And to top it off the food was great. I had fried shrimp and boiled crab cake. Even the manager was nice. Hats off to Andy! Great job 👌

The gem we never knew about: Fresh and delicious food, a beautiful setting to eat inside and outside, an amazing staff, and all kinds of history. There were furniture pieces, fixtures, and art on the wall which had been owned by the Roosevelts and Kennedys. This place has it all. We had never eaten here before as it is a long drive from our home. However, it was all worth it. We had the crab cakes and tacos and both were fantastic. Our waiter, John was so attentive and made us feel like royalty. This place also has space for large parties and receptions. One of us, meaning me is a picky eater and I’m convinced that I would love everything. We can’t wait to go back. Thanks John and Wellwood for a very enjoyable evening!

The Wellwood has very good food and very pleasant staff I would recommend it
The Wellwood uses its best efforts & practices to follow recommended local, state & federal guidelines at our location. Wellwood staff members are wearing facemasks while on duty, our dining tables are well spaced, there is hand sanitizer available and common surfaces are repeatedly sanitized throughout the day. Our dining tables & chairs are sanitized before each use and our restaurant is sanitized each evening with our electro-static cleaner. We need guests to wear their facemask when entering/exiting the restaurant and anytime they leave their table. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We also offer carryout if you feel safer dining at home.
Sometimes we get a dozen or two big ones to split instead of the AYCE 🦀👍
The menu is available on their website. It won't include daily specials but will give you a good idea of the fare available. They also just added a full sushi bar.

The Wellwood is open Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. We will be closed on Christmas Day so our staff can celebrate with their families. We hope you can visit with us soon.
There was when we rented a slip there next to the dining room in clubhouse across street from marina. Think it reopens mid May.
Water is within walking distance. It would be good to get reservation. You may have a long wait if you don't.
The all you can eat shrimp special on Thursdays 24.99 for all you can eat shrimp scampi fried shrimp steamed shrimp. Includes a salad or a side free. Sorry no clue about crabs, but the crab bisque is the beat I've ever had.
