I've been going since I was a small child. It used to be a park. I'm glad it's been preserved for public consumption. Neither is it a housing development. Beautiful setting The beach is a little rocky, but it is quite large and not overcrowded. The kids had a great time. I adore this location. However, bring bug spray because flies and nats can be a nuisance on some days. I would also recommend swimming shoes because the river floor is littered with sharp rocks and old wood. I like that they will be open at noon on weekdays beginning July 15, but their prices will be slightly higher.

Yes there are charcoal grills, you are also able to bring your own gas grill. There are a few picnic tables uncovered with a grill that has a view of the beach, then there are covered picnic tables with a few grills, but do not have a view of the beach.
