My husband and I lived at The Delano for four years. If you are working at the University of Maryland this is one of the best places in the area to live. It is located on the University shuttle line (the shuttle line service stops for a few weeks during Spring Break/Summer) and is a short walk up the hill to the Riggs Road bus stop (which also goes to the University and runs year round). The building is quiet and seems to be inhabited mostly by working professionals (as well as Graduate Students/Post Docs etc...) Our building neighbors were all very nice. Unlike the high rise apartments found in the area The Delano offers you temperature control year round with your own AC/thermostat. You want this in Maryland, it gets humid (and heat rises.) Also, in-unit laundry! The environment is awesome, it feels like condo living. There is even a fitness center, game room and free-to-use community garden on the building's Terrace.) The staff is amazing and we will miss them dearly. They go above and beyond. Giovanka, Mike, Alberto and Ray do a great job and are a very big reason to live here. You will be well cared for. Maintenance requests are handled quickly. The office accepts all packages and we never had one go missing. The building is kept very clean. After office hours, the building feels very secure. All communications from the office are clear and timely.

This is my first apartment. Lived here for 4-5 years. Staff is very responsive and building is kept clean. I will recommend this to any one who wants to rent in the PG county area.

I lived in the Delano for 4 years while a graduate student at UMD. I had a wonderful experience at the Delano. It is well managed by Giovy and other staff. If I ever needed anything fixed, the staff were very responsive, respectful, and kind. The building (inside and outside) is very clean (no bugs or pests). The free UMD shuttle is right outside the building and an easy way to get to campus. A lot of graduate students live in the building so it is very quiet. I highly reccomend the building, especially considering how well priced it is for what is offers!!!

Hands down one of the best places to live in the area surrounding DC. I have absolutely zero complaints. The monthly rent is extremely reasonable especially given the fact that heating costs are included in the rent. It's extremely comfortable and cozy, with strong walls so that you hear very little from your neighbors. The staff are highly responsive and some of the kindest people I've ever met in my life. They ensure that you get whatever you need, exactly when you need it, and have handled the pandemic especially well. There's plenty of parking, and plenty of space everywhere - in the hallways, in the elevators, in the rooms, and in the closets. The building itself is very secure. The amenities are also lovely - the gym is very nice and never too busy, and the terrace above the parking garage is a really relaxing place to spend time with visitors (especially during the warm months when the garden has plants!). I frankly couldn't be more proud to live here.
