My grandmother was in rehab and we were looking for places for her to go as she could no longer live on our own. The case worker provided a list of places for her to go. All of the facilities had to evaluate her to determine she was able to be in assisted living. We received all feedback that she could not be in assisted living due to her needs however Seaton accepted her. I paid a community fee of $1980. She was transferred from rehab to Seaton for not even 24 hours before having to go back to the hospital health issues. They now have lost her medication or won't give it back and a personal belonging. No one will call us back about that. Then they will to refund my initial money and are making me pay for 5 days even though she was in their care for less than 24 hours. Beware what contracts you sign and 100% make sure you hear from other places before deciding on this place due to the fact they didn't throughly check my grandmother out compared to other assisted living places.

My mom was here for less than a year. And that was plenty of time.It was like pulling teeth to get management to call you backThey were never available when you calledAnd you waited sometimes weeks and months to get a return phone call and sometimes you never got one any way.I feel really bad for the AIDS and nursesAs the management doesn't seem to giveA hootAbout what goes on there.Bottom line isI would never put my mom back in there. All they seem to care about is having all their beds filled

I cannot comment on how the care is in this facility. I did, however, have a scheduled tour. When my family and I arrived we were immediately greeted at the door by a receptionist that was shouting from at least 20 feet away that children are not allowed in the facility. She said it several times and said children under 13 are not permitted. As a family we decided that we did not want our loved ones in a facility where they could not see their great grandchildren. My son was pretty upset with how he was being treated so we told the receptionist to cancel the tour. She then told us to hold on a minute and then paged for their admissions coordinator. She then came out and told us this was a CDC guideline and that the other facilities we had toured were not following the guidelines. Also suddenly the age changed from 13 years old to 10 years old. We again canceled our tour. After getting home and doing some research I found that there is no such guideline and this is a company policy. The way those two made my son feel is the reason why I’m writing this. My 5 year old asked on the way home “Mommy, why does that place and those people not like children.” Again I cannot comment on the care they give, but giving two stars because it did look nice from the 3 steps we took inside the facility.

Seaton Springwood is a caring, enthusiastic community for the elderly population. If you have a loved one that can no longer live alone absolutely this is the place. I have worked at the community 8 months now and I have never been in such a caring loving atmosphere. Also, the actives they have for the residents are fun and amazing.
