So excited to finally try this place - it was slow on a rainy day but I’ll be back! The food was great, beer was cheap and we had a lot of fun. Bring a large group.

Authentic and very tasty. We were in a group of 8 and the portions were very accommodating. Family style eating. Would definitely come back. Would have given 5 stars but the waiters were hard to find at times.

It's not an authentic Chinese restaurant experience without the wait staff prepping veggies or wonton at the unused banquet table. While the abalone frog congee was delicious and great consistency per the restaurant specialty. However, the soup dumpling were terrible, they came out hot freshly prepared, but were all wrinkled and t out of 6 broke. Nothing much was lost as there were little soup inside to begin with. The dumplings were mostly flavourless filling with some tendon texture parts more reminiscent of shumai than soup dumpling. This bring to doubt rest of their dimsum offerings. The chicken garlic soup was overcooked so long the meat could be gummed apart. After the few pieces of very tough meat and garlic cloves the soup was blank and unremarkable. The rest could have been glossed over if the soup was memorable. Overall from these dishes 1 hit 2 misses, Congee Village has yet to live up to it's reputation.
