Worst bank to use for business or personal. The women they have working there are rude and dont know how to treat business customers that are in there mutliple times a week. We will be switching banks. I would give a zero if i could.

I give Alabama Credit Union Foley, AL 1 star because you can get someone on the telephone faster than other banks. I wanted to get some change for a $20 bill one day and since I didn't have an account with them (just a POD on a family member's account with them) they denied the request. I may have left those family funds with them...but now, no way. I went to use the ATM to get $120.00 cash this morning with my debit card from another bank, and I agreed to the $2.50 ACU fee because it was the most convenient ATM on my way, and my bank is in Spanish Fort. I received a receipt from the ATM stating the transaction was denied so I went on my way. I logged on to my bank account later and noticed $122.50 was taken from my bank account, but I received no cash. Luckily I kept the receipt saying transaction denied. I called Alabama Credit Union to tell them what happened and if they could help me. They asked if I had an account with them, I said no, they said then take it up with my bank so my bank can file a dispute for me. So, don't go in there unless you have an account or to open an account, and beware of the ATM.

I'm only giving 2 stars because the employees are as helpful as they can be for a Union that is just ridicules! 3 weeks ago I opened a new account just moving from Michigan, opened with my payroll and couldn't access my money for well over a week...would not let me in my account ( 40 minutes on hold finally working) get paid biweekly deposit my next check and they held the entire amount! My money, same job,4 kids no money for 3 weeks now. The worst thing I've ever done was not listen to the bad reviews, be smarter than me!bank elsewhere

Questions & Answers

Why are all the financial institutions down here closed on Saturdays? Most credit unions are open till noon on Sat. I work Mon-Fri 12hr days, makes any kind of banking super inconvenient.

I feel the same exact way. I also bank with New Horizons Credit Union and they used to be open 9am-12noon on Saturdays until covid hit. I would suggest banking with New Horizons because you can make cash or check deposits at the ATM and it will post directly to your account. PNC ATM's does the same thing but they charge you a monthly fee to have an account with them.

Huh?

How do I find out what my account number is?

Melinda Wade | Oct 29, 2018
Zach Rutledge | Oct 29, 2018

It's available if you log in to your account online, under details on the checking account tab. It's also on your checks next to the routing number. I suppose you can also go into a branch and ask, as long as you have the proper ID with you.

To join, you need to be a resident of Baldwin County, or a resident of some other counties in Alabama, or employed by certain companies. The full list of things that qualify you for a membership are on their website. Under About Us, click on Eligibility. If you meet one of those requirements, joining is free just by going into a local branch.
