For over 13 years I paid union dues. The first time I needed help for someone with less seniority that was not even capable of doing the job receiving more hours because I upset the store director that teamed up with my discriminatory dept manager. Failed to ever receive any response from my rep. Failed to ever receive any help from this weak union.

Everyone wants to complain about how bad the union is but in the end of the day is the workers. If your union is not working is because you haven’t put in the time and effort to make changes.

Don't bother to call the union rep, after leaving four messages over the past six weeks I have yet to receive a return phone call. They are quick to take your dues but have zero interest in actually representing a member or even bothering to return a simple phone call. Do yourself a favor and avoid employment with any company that falls under their umbrella.

Does not care about their workers and will not fight at all. Tries to make it up by giving benefits. Disgraceful how this has been going on for years

Yep! You do NOT need to be a member to collect your pension. Eligibility and the amount remain the same whether you choose to be a Union member or not. Same with the insurance. Spread the word!
