I’m beyond fortunate that I had the privilege to meet Dr. Mazaheri, much less be truly transformed for the better with his expertise and that of his entire staff. From the top down, I couldn’t be more impressed and lucky. I couldn’t be more thankful for each and every day after my experience with him. I had a lower body lift and a Gynocomastia procedure after major weight loss from over a decade ago. My entire life and body was hidden behind dark clothing and larger size shirts out of what seemed like an eternity of embarrassment and shame. I hated looking at myself, all the time, each and every day. It was grueling to wake up and see myself the way that I was. Because of Dr. Mazaheri, his staff, his honesty and his UNPARALLELED work ethic, my entire life has been changed for the better and I embrace every step I take. I push forward with my head held high and with confidence. I finally feel like the years of work I put into losing my weight had an actual payoff. I finally look the way I have always wanted and then some. Every single aspect of my life has more color to it and like I already mentioned, I couldn’t be more thankful. No matter what it is you are looking for, in yourself or from a surgeon, I couldn’t imagine it getting any better.

I'm a mom of 5 kids! Obviously the girls had fallen a victim to gravity 🙄 but thanks to Dr. Maz I am so confident after my lift/augmentation! I will never go anywhere else no trust anyone else. Dr. Maz and his staff have always treated me like family and have treated me like I'm there only patient. Thank you all so much for giving me my confidence back ❤️

I went to to Dr. Mazaheri for a consult right before the pandemic started from being referred by a good friend. These guys answered all my questions and were very transparent about fees and exactly my procedure was expected to go. Due to the pandemic happening my appt kept getting postponed but the staff here kept me well informed every step of the way and it really helped. I was very happy with my results and will always refer ppl i care about here. Great quality of work+ great service. (Pre and post op)

Most patients will not be required to stay overnight. However, we do recommend packing a small bag to bring with you to the surgery center on the day of your scheduled surgery date. Our recommendations include: - Drivers license - Insurance card - Eye glasses and an eyeglass case - Crackers to eat after surgery which will help relieve nausea - Pillow and throw blanket (optional). For tummy tuck or body lift patients, lightly hugging or pressing a pillow against your stomach will make you feel more secure.

While recovering from surgery, you may not be able to keep up with your regular beauty or hygiene routine. We recommend making any hair, body, or skin appointments before your scheduled surgery. Haircuts and Color - Particularly for facelift patients, it could take up to 3-4 weeks before you can color your hair. We recommend longer for browlift patients. Please consult with Dr. Mazaheri after your healing process to determine when it is safe to go in for a haircut or color. Manicures and Pedicures - If you decide to color your nails, please select a light or pale color with no decals or designs. Shellac and artificial nails are acceptable as long as the nail polish is a light color. During surgery, it is necessary that the pulse oximeter can shine through the polish. Shaving and Waxing - Shaving and waxing is very difficult to do during your recovery. To avoid any uncomfort, we recommend shaving or waxing before your scheduled surgery date.

This includes your caregivers number, close friends and family, and our number (480) 951-4343. I’m a smoker. Can I continue smoking during the recovery process?

Dr. Mazaheri Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery | Oct 27, 2020
Dr. Mazaheri Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery | Oct 27, 2020

It’s no secret that smoking is bad for you. Most people are aware that it can hinder your recovery after any surgery. Smoking is a much bigger issue when you’re planning on having plastic surgery. This is because plastic surgical operations live on the edge of your blood supply. When doing these operations, plastic surgeons are really operating at the limit of what circulation to the skin and other tissues will allow; living on the edge so to speak. In order to have adequate circulation, they do not only need to leave enough blood vessel intact, but they must also ensure that the blood which flows through these vessels is sufficient. Certain things can affect this blood flow and the biggest and baddest of these is cigarette smoke. While the nicotine in cigarette smoke is the most dangerous element, the carbon monoxide and the hydrogen cyanide do not provide any benefits either.

My partner and I are trying to get pregnant. Does pregnancy impact whether or not I can move forward with my procedure?

Dr. Mazaheri Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery | Oct 27, 2020
Dr. Mazaheri Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery | Oct 27, 2020

If you are a female, you are required to take a pregnancy test at the surgery center before your procedure. At least two tests per year come back positive. If you are pregnant, you cannot move forward with plastic surgery.

Should I be following any specific exercise regimen?

Now is not the time to start a new aggressive workout routine. You want to maintain your level of fitness while avoiding injuries, so don’t overdo it. Instead, think about light cardio, low-weight strength training, and, particularly, stretching. Barre workouts, yoga, and pilates classes are great choices because they concentrate on your overall well-being and posture. Focus on strengthening and stretching your core muscles (back and abs). This is particularly important for tummy tuck and body lift patients. After your surgery, you won’t be walking upright for a while. Having strong core stability will help prevent back pain.

Is there a specific diet I should have after my procedure?

Dr. Mazaheri Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery | Oct 27, 2020
Dr. Mazaheri Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery | Oct 27, 2020

If you get the best results from your surgery and closer to your ideal body weight, now must be the time to go on a super low-calorie diet right? Wrong! We hear this all the time from patients planning their surgery. Contrary to popular belief, crash-dieting before your surgery is completely counter-productive. Your body needs protein, iron, nutrients, and yes, even fat to recover properly. Eat a healthy and balanced diet, skip the booze, and don’t go crazy cutting calories.

What is the recommended time off for our most popular procedures?

Dr. Mazaheri Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery | Oct 27, 2020
Dr. Mazaheri Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery | Oct 27, 2020

These recovery times are the average time patients take off from work to recover from their surgery. If your job is physically strenuous, you’ll need more time. Likewise, downtime is a particular concern to our facial plastic surgery patients. If you bruise easily or are very concerned that friends/family will notice, you may need longer. Breast Augmentation: less than 1 week Breast Lift: less than 1 week Breast Reduction: 1-2 weeks Brachioplasty (arm lift) - 1 week Liposuction: 1 week Gynecomastia (male chest reduction): 1 week Tummy Tuck: 2-4 weeks Mommy Makeover: 2-4 weeks Body Lift: 4 weeks Facelift: 2 weeks Eyelid Surgery: 2 weeks
