This was my first time trying this car wash. Got the ultimate car wash for $17 and the kids enjoyed watching the brushes, soap, and water in the wash. What I really liked was that it comes with hot wax shine and rain-x surface protectant for the windshield. Immediately saw the difference with the products they used. Also came with a tire shine! There were plenty of spots to park your car afterwards and use the vacuums to clean out your car. Plenty of trash cans too. Would definitely recommend.

I believe it's a microfiber/sponge type material, same as a hand shine place would use. As long as your clearcoat is good you should not get any scratches.
