I visited the Niagara Falls NY Amtrak Station in late August/Early September 2022. This is the first or last stop in the US/NY before crossing over into Niagara Falls Canada. If you’re coming into the US/NY be sure to fill out your customs form. Coming from Canada once you arrive at this station, everyone has to get off the train with all your belongings including luggage to go through customs. Once we were cleared through customs we went upstairs to the station where we waited to board the train to continue our journey. The station was very clean and spacious with plenty of seating. There are vending machines to purchase snacks and beverage which accepts cash or card. There is an information desk as well with Amtrak employees to assist and answer any questions you may have. The information desk also has a map of the Niagara Falls area. There is a ladies and men’s room. The ladies room gets really crowded as there is only 2 stalls inside. Surprised to have a limited number of restrooms.

A peaceful place to wait for delayed transportation. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Attached to a wonderful museum about the Underground Railroad. [Closed on Mondays].

Very clean station and efficient immigration processing. My passport had some issues in the digital system because of some mishaps at Pearson airport (absolute chaos, 6 hour long line, missed flight) and the CBP officer here went out of his way to get my passport processed manually.

So many. From the Hilton group to choice hotels to Marriott to.priority club. Etc.
Passport and vaccination records
An official U.S. Passport and/or an enhanced drivers license from NY state. If you have a passport, that is the best ID to use.
Yes.. there are station conductors and masters to help around, ticket counters opens later.. but doors and waiting hall will be open..
The Train goes s far South as NYC, passing several East Coast stops on the way!
If you're staying in Niagara Falls NY then America cash is accepted everywhere. However in Niagara Falls Canada you will most likely need both currency as it tends to fluctuate and certain credit cards don't always work over the border. As far as the closest currency exchange I would suggest finding a local bank rather than a mall to get your money exchanged.
We stayed on Buffalo side I would see if a bus goes through. Waiting to go through SECURITY into Canada takes a long time and a cab would cost a fortune. Amtrak goes directly into Canada so that's the best option.
no particular taxi, a few will show up. its best to contact the hotel that you staying at, hotel will provide the taxi service they recommend
No its not You can wait outside for pick up, or come in 730 am to talk with agent
The US and Canada don't care about you leaving their country, just entry. By the way the Whirlpool Bridge is Nexus ONLY.
Yes. If you go to choicehotels.com, they will be able to help.
If the train/station allows checked baggage, yes. Your best bet would be to call the station. I believe the rate is ~$25 per bag besides the 2 free carry ons.
Yes you can, the station told us it's at your own risk but security drives by occasionally. It worked out great for us I didn't think the station was in a terrible area. We left it there 4 days. Super good experience all around doing the train to nyc very prompt and scenic ride.
Yes... Parking is ample, convenient, well lit at night and Free.
The 63 train at 4 pm goes to Toronto everyday. Unsure of the cost though.
No, but there are taxis and uber/lyft units for arriving trains
Call Amtrak to find out prices and schedules
Dont know the starting date however running for few years.
No, but you can get a cab or uber to take you.
I didn't see a long term lot. Maybe park at casino. Or take an Uber to the station.
