Used these guys years ago. All the other roofing companies weren't local and were working the normal hail damage deals. Paradigm came out, did a better inspection, did a better job of fixing problems with the trim, better installation of components, and actually had a permit...which no once seems to do anymore. They were on time always, cleaned everything up better than before, and just flat out did better a everything. Will use them again and recommend them to anyone wanting a local actual roofing company. Oh...and they were cheaper than the rest. Thanks Paradigm.

I have been a customer twice now and each time I was treated fairly and with respect. I will not even consider another roofer as long as the service stays like it is. Thank you so much everyone at Paradigm!

My home was damaged during the October 2019 tornado. Paradigm Roofing had replaced my roof approximately six years ago and so I contacted Joel Hasin at Paradigm. He immediately came out and worked with my insurance adjuster to get my roof replaced just like it was prior to the storm. He also was my point man with the insurance company in getting my chimney repaired, chimney cap replaced and garage door replaced. He took care of everything for me and I could not be more pleased. I would recommend Paradigm and Joel to anyone that needs their home repaired or updated.

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

Metal roofing can be extremely affordable. While prices may vary depending on brand, metal roofing is on par with most commonly used roofing materials, such as asphalt. Metal costs considerably less than tile or slate roofing and can fit most roofing budgets.

Is metal roofing energy efficient?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

Metal roofing can be one of the most energy-efficient roofing materials on the market if you invest in a quality brand. If you live in a warm climate, a brightly colored metal roof can help reflect the heat away from your home, keeping your property cooler and utility costs down. Several coatings, colors, and sealants on the market can further improve your metal roof’s energy efficiency.

Are tile roofs eco-friendly?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

If you are looking for an eco-friendly roofing option, tile is one of the best choices on themarket. Tile roofs are often made from completely natural and sustainable materials. They last longer than other roofing materials like composite or metal, which minimizeswaste. While they cost a bit more upfront, they ultimately pay for themselves with theirdurability, resilience, and energy efficiency.

What about the insulation value of a tile roof?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

The insulation of a tile roof depends highly on the air space between them to reduce heattransfer. Reducing overall heat transfer helps keep your home much cooler during thewarm summer months.

Tiles last a long time, but how long will the color last?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

When colored tiles are made, they add the pigment to the raw materials and then put aglaze over the tile to protect it from the elements. While the glaze can wear over time, thecolor of the tile roofing will remain for the life of the roof. Sometimes the color maysoften due to sun exposure, but most tile roofing remains bright and in great shape fordecades.

What are other advantages of the TPO roofing systems?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

TPO roofing systems have many advantages over other commercial roofing types. Theseams on TPO are some of the most reliable in the industry. They are also available inmultiple colors, but white is the most popular due to its reflective capabilities; white TPOcan reflect 87% of the sun’s UV rays, keeping the building cooler and promoting betterenergy efficiency.

Can TPO be installed over an existing roof system?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

It depends. If the existing roof is in good enough condition, a TPO membrane can beapplied over an existing roof system after an insulation board has been applied over anexisting built-up roof system or other single ply membrane. It is important to note thatthis is not always possible, and you may need to remove the existing roof beforeinstalling TPO membrane to get the best possible finished product.

Which roofs are compatible with TPO membranes?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

TPO is notoriously versatile and can be used on most commercial roofs. The TPOmembrane can be installed on both low and high slope surfaces and be re-shaped to fitpractically any roof. The best way to determine if TPO membrane will work on yourcommercial roof is to have a licensed roofing contractor come to inspect your roof.

What are some common TPO roofing problems?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

TPO is a fairly new roofing material when compared with other types. This means thatmany companies are still experimenting with different membranes. It is important for youto choose a company with a reputation for producing quality TPO roofing membrane toget the best durability and longevity out of your roof. If you purchase a cheaply madeTPO roof, seam issues and membrane failures are common. However, with new ASTMstandards, TPO membrane quality has become more consistent and overall is a greatchoice for commercial roofing.

What is the best way to clean a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roof?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

There are several products on the market advertising that they will help keep your TPOroof spotless. The truth is, nothing quite works like a simple power wash. We recommendyou clean your TPO with a power washer at least once annually to prevent mold growthand keep your roof free of dirt and debris. Many manufacturers include anti-fungal oralgaecides within the TPO roofing, but they can lose effectiveness over time, and regularcleaning is needed

What kind of maintenance does my wood roof require?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

People have used cedar and redwood shakes – the most common types of wood roofing – for centuries, in one form or another. Back in the early days, roofers laid the wood materials over spaced lathing strips. Roofs made this way would last for generations. Cedar and redwood shakes will not completely decay without both moisture and moss or mildew infestations. These days, wood roofs need proper care and cleaning in order to reach their full lifespan. Business owners should hire a professional roofing company to clean the roof properly. A thorough cleaning can last from six to eight years. Business owners can also remove debris from the roof and cut back overhanging trees in order to damage and potential rot. Finally, replacing any missing shakes will prevent UV-light from deteriorating the materials. If you’re unsure of how to complete such tasks, don’t hesitate to contact Paradigm Roofs!

What’s the ideal way to ventilate my roof?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

If you’re looking for effective ways to ventilate your roof, you won’t be sorry – adequate roof ventilation helps to prevent your roof from rotting or being privy to other damages, and it can even help significantly reduce your cooling bills. So, what’s the ideal way to ventilate your roof? We’re glad you asked! It’s important to keep your roof ventilation system balanced. Meaning, there should always be cool air flowing into your attic at the lowest point, which helps to remove warm air from inside the attic. If you’d like to find out more about the many ventilation services that Paradigm Roofing offers, don’t hesitate to give us a call!

How much ventilation does a roof need?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

This is an important question – after all, you want to ensure that you have exactly the right amount of roof ventilation for your home. If you don’t, this can lead to problematic moisture buildup in the winter, and even decreased efficiency in the summer. There are many factors that go into making sure that your roof stays properly ventilated. Here at Paradigm Roofing, we’re here to provide you with a customized roofing assessment and cost estimate, so that you can make the best decision for your home!

Does having proper ventilation increase energy consumption?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

No. In fact, when you have proper roofing ventilation, it decreases your energy consumption. The flow of air helps to keep your home cooler during the summer and warmer during the winter. This lessens the need for you to have your heating and cooling system running full-blast year-round. If you are interested in cutting your energy costs, you need to contact Paradigm Roofing and have one of our licensed roofing contractors come and assess your roofing ventilation. You could potentially save hundreds of dollars a year by having proper ventilation.

What are the advantages of roof gutters?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

If you’d like your home to remain in working condition, you should invest in a proper gutter system. Without a professionally installed and maintained rain gutter system, excess water from a severe rainstorm can wreak havoc on your home. Many homeowners find gutters ugly,or think their benefits don’t warrant the initial cost. These misconceptions can cause damage to your home. You deserve to know the advantages of a gutter system: • Stabilized soil surrounding your home • A protected foundation • Prevention of flooding under the home and in the basement • Fewer cases of erosion • Less water damage to your home’s siding • Preserved exterior and garage doors Overall, the benefits and savings far outweigh the initial installation cost of a new gutter system and downspouts. If you’re still on the fence, contact one of our experienced technicians for professional advice!

What Are Architectural Shingles?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

The main thing you need to know is that they are shingles that achieve an architectural look while providing more durability. They do the same protective job as traditional shingles but with a stylistic element. Regular shingles tend to be flat and one dimensional, whereas architectural ones can have a 3D component to them. They can accent your roof’s pre-existing pitch or give it a new look altogether. We at Paradigm Roofs have seen and installed this choice of shingle on several Dallas area homes, replacing the older traditional style. The architectural shingles’ life span is nearly double that of traditional shingles because they are generally made of sturdier material, such as asphalt or laminate. And although this sturdier quality means you may be paying more up front for them, you’ll be saving money down the line by not having to replace them in 10-15 years like you would a traditional shingle.

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018

Does the installer have to remove the existing roof?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

Generally, the answer to this question depends on a couple things: the type of roofing materials we’re talking about and how many total layers of roofing there are on your home (most building codes allow only 2 layers, for instance). With this being said, many homeowners find that they’re able to install their new roofing over an existing roof without any major problems. It’s always best to receive a personalized roofing estimate and consultation with an expert when you’re trying to decide if you can install your new roof over your existing roof. How do I maintain my siding?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

Depending on the style and material of siding you decided to install on your home, the way you maintain the appearance and durability will change drastically. For example, if you have used wood as a siding for your house, diligent maintenance will be required to ensure the gorgeous appearance is maintained over the years. Moisture and weather can really take a toll. You should inspect every inch of the siding and treat any areas showing signs of wear throughout the year – at least every six months. This goes for all types of siding, really. To clean wood of any dirt or mildew that has gathered, use warm, soapy water and a soft brush to remove dirt. Mildew will require one-part bleach and four-part water to remove. You should also be wary of any trees and bushes that come too close to the home. The branches could snag on the siding and cause tearing or unsightly marks.

How do I properly maintain my siding?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

The method to maintain your siding properly will depend on the material used on your home. For vinyl siding, the upkeep includes using a power washer before or after the summer months. Spiders and insects love to live between the slats of the vinyl siding. These pose a danger to children who are playing in the immediate area. It is best to remove such pests before they actually become problems. For wood siding, a favorite amongst many homeowners these days, you need to treat the wood every 4 to 6 years. The elements in the region can be fierce at times, which really takes a toll on wood siding. A pressure washer can do wonders for the wood siding panels. In fact, a pressure washer is a pretty useful tool all around. Most siding can benefit from a good washing every few months to one year. The choice is up to you, though!

How much does it cost to install siding on a home?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

The cost to install brand new siding on your home depends on two major factors: the size of your home and the material you would like to use as siding. For example, standard vinyl will cost around $5 per square foot to install, while deluxe vinyl will cost a homeowner almost $7 per square foot to install. Multiply these numbers by the square footage of your entire home and you have a rough estimate of exactly how much the installation job will cost. Of course, there are other siding materials to choose from, including engineered wood, aluminum, and James Hardie siding. To figure out the cost of your siding, either research the exact material you would like to use and do the math, or simply call one of our roofing specialists at Paradigm Roofs for a comprehensive quote of our services and the entire installation job.

How does siding compare with other home exterior materials?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

If you’re preparing to reside your home, then you’ve probably questioned whether siding compares to other exterior material for your household. Basically, the comparisons will all come down to the materials and cost associated with your chosen design. For example, wood siding may be more expensive to install than cement, but the wood will look ten times more gorgeous than the cement can ever hope to accomplish. If you’re looking for a purely aesthetic upgrade, then siding is the way to go. There are so many different types and styles of siding that the options are almost endless for a homeowner looking to upgrade. On the upside, siding is easy to install by a skilled professional, is quite beautiful, and adds immense value to your home. On the downside, however, without proper care and maintenance throughout the year, siding can greatly deteriorate. You really need to keep on top of your siding to ensure it holds up over the years.

After exploring your options, you should ask how to calculate siding cost?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

There are a couple of steps a new homeowner needs to take in order to calculate the price of their home siding. Siding is an incredibly attractive material that is known for being quite durable against weather and aging to cover the exterior of your home. There are several types, including vinyl, wood, aluminum, or even James Hardie siding, all of which can improve the appearance and stability of your home. To calculate the overall cost of installing siding on your new house, you need to factor in the quality of the siding being used, the entire size of your home, the shape of the house, and whether or not an old layer needs to be removed beforehand. All of these factors will play into the total amount you will pay your siding specialist in the end. Obviously, more expensive siding options will be more durable in the long run, but you need to factor in the cost.

What kind of a warranty do you have available for your roofs?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Thomas Hoctor | Oct 28, 2018

Mine came with a 5 year defect warranty. Lot better than the other warranty I had from my previous roofing company and the work was done right and professionally handled. Also different from my last roofing experience.

How can I tell if my roof is in need of repair or maintenance?

Ashik Bappy | Oct 28, 2018
Paradigm Roofing | Oct 28, 2018

Most of the time, you’ll notice a leak or leaks occurring after a heavy rain. In this case, you may be dealing with an emergency repair. Sometimes, you may not physically see a leak, but you may notice damage or a moldy odor on wood in your house. Even roofs that are relatively flat have some sort of slope to them, so the location of the leak in your house may not be the exact location externally. In addition, sometimes it isn’t the roof at all, but a piece of flashing around the chimney, the vent pipes, or even the gutters. A roof inspection is the best way to find out exactly what needs to be repaired.
