Worthless people worthless service. Nobody to man the phones , and when you do get in touch with somebody , they refuse to answer specific questions to ca confusing rules. Thought you were suppose to be fish and GAME. Not department of fish and wildlife. Wildlife ..... that implys we don’t kill and eat animals. Grow up or get another job. I kill animals. I eat animals. I have respect for the animals that I harvest and I have the skills to process them. I am so discussed with you people and process. Hope you all loose your jobs Don’t you understand if you don’t allow “evil hunters and fisherman “like me hunt and fish ,there is no need for you ? I paid over 300$ this year for tags and licenses.

The last Saturday in April is the opening day for trout season and fishing high rivers and creeks. The mountain and lower valley lake are open.

You need to go to the office at 1234 shaw ave. They can answer any questions you have, and I highly recommend doing that first and not go hunting until your license is established. A little bit of time to do that is worth not getting a citation. Good hunting!
The planting schedule is listed at the website CDFW/planting schedule California. Unfortunately the exact location and time/date is not available due to fishing pressure. You can get the location, just not the precise location. Keep in touch with department of fish and wildlife and get the notifications they send. It takes a little research but it's worth it in the long run, especially if you love fishing.
