I had a very positive experience with the billing / finance department. Lilly was professional and very helpful. She assisted me in navigating the process and followed through when she said she would. She is an asset. I also found the employees there were very helpful and pleasant. It made a difficult situation easier.

Went to hospital to have a port a cath replaced and old one taken out. This happened yesterday October 24, 2022 . The cath team sucked. They were more concerned about a doctor that is no longer with the hospital. Whom used to wear $9000.00 shoes, and would cover them up with double PPE. They were supposed to be preparing me for the doctor . They did however try. the anesthesia nurse was awful at best, at her/his job. When the doctor came in, and was ready to start, I was not ready. Doctor started anyway. I was not In any way shape or form sedated. I felt every thing . they kept telling me to quit moving. It is hard when you know what is happening and can feel everything. And in lots of pain. Even asked me if I wanted to proceed cause I was in so much pain. Kinda did not have a choice. They already had me cut open. The short scruffy face gentleman seen my face he kept talking with me. It was ridiculous that the sedation did not even start to work. I finally asked for benadryl more than half through 2nd port . It helped a little.. because before that they in my opinion gave nothing. Asked my daughter in law she is a nurse practitioner. She said sedation doesn't work if it is given to late. It must be given prior not at start of procedure for best results at least 15 minutes prior checking every few minutes for amount effectiveness. Every patient is different. Think they were in a hurry and didn't care... this has been an ongoing issue since HCA took over. It was more patient care and less patient being just a number before HCA. Having to go through the agony I did is unforgivable I also blame the doctor doing the procedure. The quantity of care went from a 10 to a 1, since the change to HCA. . A radiologist should not be doing any type of procedure in a heart cath lab. Had I known this prior . I would have canceled. Then called my cardiologist at Methodist. Bard power ports are worse than the power port that failed. Statistics show they fall apart at an alarmingly quick rate. This is about money, not patients, and the quality of care. If they fall apart so be it, another procedure means more money .

Jessica in Registration Check -in for Radiology is extremely RUDE!!! She should NOT be working a check in desk!!!!!!! AND she said "lady I'm new I don't even know what you're talking about". I had to remove myself from the situation because it was going left very fast. This was my first time experiencing such rudeness at this facility. She needs to be retrained!!!!!!

This is in answer to Carl. Hardly. I'm on the HMO and I've had a hell of a time finding doctors that actually take the insurance. Or they do, then months later they stop accepting it, so I have to go on a hunt all over again.
I'm pretty sure they have good directions that explains how to do it. You can call the office and they will most likely help you through it.

Great hospital; top notch medical staff. Expect billing issues. 3 out of 3 for me. Trying to grab more $$ or just incompetence...? $$ is my guess.
Go on North Cypress Medical Center website and look for careers.
