I purchased a Intermatic 7-Day Programmable In-Wall Timer. When I eventually got it programmed (2 hours), the timer works well. BUT the minimum written instructions were very poor, if not terrible. Most likely the programmer of the timer wrote the instructions. And she or he had another programmer review the instructions. Therefore, much of the setting up of the timer must be figured out by the purchaser.

Worst customer service ever. Told them about an issue involving 6 timers that malfunctioned in exactly the same way, bought at the same time. Told me I was wrong and it couldn't happen. 6 months later I called again about the problem reoccurring (only happens during time change). He told me they did find a problem and let the factory know about it a few months ago. Told me my units were not eligible for return if they were more than 1 year old. Even though they are defective, and I alerted them to the defect before the year was up, only to be told to kick sand. Nice.

When did you purchase your lighting? Intermatic sold the Malibu line to Brinkmann in 2009.
Make sure the day pin for the day you want to water is pulled up, toggle switch needs to be in auto, then put brass trippers into the time dial at the time you want it to water. Each brass tripper is about 12 minutes of watering time.
