Made an appointment, came 5 minutes early but still waited almost one hour past my appointment time. Would recommend going somewhere that does not take walk ins if possible.

This lab belongs in a third world country! The place is filthy, urine specimens are collected & left in a public bathroom, wait times for scheduled appointments average 45 mins so the waiting room is always packed, and results are delayed.

Yes, these labs and most other service industries are suffering from significant staffing shortages. I (was) used to getting my routine lab work done about a week prior to my doctor visit; these days an appointment at the Los Osos office requires an online appointment more than six weeks out. In Los Osos there is only one young woman on staff to do everything; I feel badly for her, she is doing her best. I opted to drive to the SLO office instead for a sooner appointment. The staff there were efficient but also running ragged. I have chosen to offer all folks in service industries extra grace these days and be thankful for them.
