The building department, really bad customer service, every time I come it’s only one employee and they are rude, it makes no sense why I see more employees working in there but only one helping customer! I was applying for a permit and they make me do 3 trips because every person I was talking to ask me for different paper work they need to all be on the same page,

Typical of Cicero to survive off giving people parking tickets even for parking correctly in the a.m. hrs. In any area of Cicero. How is anyone supposed to park in general in Cicero then? Total garbage.

Waited in the building department line for 2 hours with only 5 people in front of me. The staff worked extremely slow compared to every other village hall I've been to. Only had 1 person working the window and not even attending anyone. Worst experience ever.

Whatever you do, don't buy property in the Town of Cicero and try to build or remodel. They have hired this horrible third-party plan review company out of Miami, so you will never actually be able to get a permit. I've been an architect in Chicago for almost 30 years, and when I brought up how unreasonable these people were being to the senior building department staff, they didn't care and refused to meet with me, so I'm definitely not taking any more projects in Cicero until they fire Commissioner Porod and her horrible plan review company.

Yes, they take credit cards too
During the day it is ok but at night after 9 it is preferable to have a visitor's pass.

You have to register your car with Cicero. While you register you can go to the offices and ask for some visitor passes (for the car). There is no more pay your fine.
