It took us about 2 hours to walk the track loop. We did a total of about 4.5 miles with several hills. (We did a bit extra on a trail) We estimate the largest hill at about 150ft elevation change. We wanted to walk the interior trails but it seemed they were for mountain bikers so we didn't. Parking had plenty of spaces. There is a brick house bathroom in the parking lot off rout 31. The other lot is an outhouse bathroom. Trees are just starting to change color so in about a week it should be fairly beautiful. There were some neat futes like the silo and a really long bridge. Parts of the track are still visible and the signage does a great job explaining what was were.

Me & My Daughter were told that our $20 Goodwill BMX fixed gear small tired bikes were not built for these trails luckily we are related to Tony Hawk & Dave Mirra...Allegedly no actual paternity to prove it but we made thru the trails so that's proof enough

Great place to bike or hike. Many different trails of different difficulty. Parking lot has plenty of parking.

Yes
Walking path is paved and the mountain bike/hiking trails are not
Yeah but no riding on muddy trails if you're mountain biking.
No you cannot.
Dusk is closing time. Forest Preserve usually checks that no one is lost, and they clean up the garbage containers. Opening time is dawn which is ideal for a morning exercise session (cycling, running, jogging or walking).
