Local fishing spot. Quick little get away. Quite camp ground

Basic campsite with limited facilities (old bathrooms, no shower) but nice fishing within walking distance.... no easy kayak launch, no boat launch on site. Price matches the limited facilities, campsite itself have plenty space, see the pictures but not a tent campsite for extended stays. If you plan to launch a kayak make sure you bring a trolley to pull up the graded path to levee and launch is off pier so in case you have fully loaded kayak (in my case fishing kayak) better have a second person available. The area is certainly calm for kayaking. But for boat/kayak launch a nearby Marina is better option.

I stopped there to get a site for the night in my small VW van. The camp host came up to the truck so I asked him if they had showers. He said no. So I asked him if we could swim in the river. He said that there was nothing stopping me. I asked if the river was poluted. He said of course, because of pesticides and insecticides. Essentially I wanted to know if we could wash in there since we had been hot and sweaty all day but got no real answer. Then the engine fan went on on my van and he told me to turn it off because it was too loud. I told him I couldn't, which was true but he starts saying that I just have to take out my keys from the ignition. I take out my keys from the ignition to show him that this doesn't change a thing and he starts yelling how we are rude and impolite. The guy was insane so we just left. If I had stayed there I would have been scared he would attack us during the night.
