The Refuge Church truly is the best place to be! We are now actively involved with leading the youth group, and I can assure you it's the BEST youth group in the world! :-) Come visit us and join the family, just like my husband and I did!

April, 2017 My husband and I Visited The Refuge Church and the presence of God is so precious, I began to weep. The people were so friendly and accepting. We are looking for a place to worship....we will revisit...Jesus is Alive 9/15/17....we stayed...it's now our Church, our Family....please come see for yourself! 3/15/18 Praise God its been almost a whole year (in April)....time has passed by so fast. I'm so thankful to God that He Led us Here to the refuge church...still so awesome. it just gets better and the anointing of God is so strong. The word saysThe anointing breaks the yoke....I Love these Caring and loving people of God. Come visit us.. just once..you'll be back. These saints of God TRULY LOVE JESUS...and are burdened for the lost. God Bless you and Yours in Jesus name. 3/19/22 Hallelujah God is so good..I love my TRC family.

I moved here from out of state a few months ago, and visited several churches looking for one to call home. I've never felt such a spirit of love and unity as I do at The Refuge Church. The people make you feel like part of the family the moment you walk through the door. I love the diversity in both ethnicity and age. They have great ministries for all ages. After spending a few months here it is clear that both personal and ministerial growth is encouraged and strongly supported. The presence of God as well as the preaching, worship, and music are exuberant and anointed! If you're looking for a fabulous home Church full of Spirit and truth you would do well to check it out!

TRC is an atmosphere of lively and exciting preaching and teaching. You will find that the preaching and teaching at TRC is Bible based and full of passion. Whether it is our senior pastor/bishop, a guest speaker or one of our associate pastors preaching or teaching, the Bible will be presented to you in a way that you can be easily understood and applied to your life. If you are looking for a 6 foot icicle behind the pulpit, TRC is the wrong place for you.
Our music is a wonderful blend of both traditional and contemporary Christian worship songs. You will find that our live musicians, singers and worship leaders all endeavor to help us magnify God. None of our musicians and singers seeks to merely perform or hold a concert, but they strive to lead our congregation into the presence of God. By the way, none of us here at TRC like lousy music either.
At TRC you are guaranteed to experience lively, Spirit-filled services. While no two services are the same, our church services are filled with lively music, worship, singing and the preaching or teaching of the Bible. We offer prayer, hope and spiritual support for anyone who desires it. We believe that church should be uplifting, hope-filled, exciting, life changing, fun and NEVER dead or boring. Most of all, we want to create an atmosphere of faith where everyone can feel the Holy Spirit and learn from the Word of God. Hope, healing and the Holy Spirit are part of our regular atmosphere and services.
We want you to know you are welcome to arrive or leave service at any time you choose should the need arise. Service schedules are as follows: Every day • HOPE/ House of Prayer for Everyone Sundays • 10AM - KidZone children’s classes (Sunday school) • 10:30AM - Hope for Today (adult Bible study in the sanctuary) • 11AM - full worship service for all ages (music, singing, worship, preaching & prayer) • 6PM - HOPE, House of Prayer for Everyone (prayer meeting) Wednesdays • 7PM - prayer meeting in the sanctuary • 7:30PM - (music, singing, worship, Word & prayer in sanctuary; student classes & children’s church) Thursdays TRC in Spanish • 7PM - prayer • 7:30PM - service
We are a Bible based New Testament Christian church. We are an Acts 2 (Acts 2:1-47) Apostolic Pentecostal church serving Wylie and the surrounding lake cities. The refuge church has been in Wylie since 1958 with our senior pastor & wife leading the TRC family for over 25 years.
