So this is one of my favorite venues in Dallas. I love European vibed locations and Bistro 31 definitely delivers on the elegance and menu. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the lounge upstairs - that is always a good time and a delicious adventure (pasta, sushi YUM) but I really love the restaurant downstairs if you want to have a delectable lunch - the lobster salad is my favorite as is the tiny potato galette you can order individually that's topped with caviar - it is extraordinary! It is also a romantic location for lovely dinner date as you can explore the yummy menu together. The staff could not be more incredible and accommodating; they make you feel like you are their most special guest both upstairs and downstairs -who does that anymore and this consistently?! THANK YOU! I get a little pep in my step when I know I'll be coming here! It is most definitely a complete JOY and so delicious every time I'm here - thank you so much!

Calamari was amazing, but the steaks we got definitely did not taste like $40-$50 steaks. The bearnaise sauce served with my steak tasted like someone mistook the sugar as salt--it had a really off-putting candy-like sweetness to it. The sides presented with our steaks were also very pedestrian.

I was definitely expecting a better experience considering location and cost. Our waitress was very nice but it didnt feel like fine dining to me. The features had to be read from her book & I felt like we were being hovered over. I did enjoy the fittura & halibut however, the Caesar lacked flavor & dressing. The mac n cheese is almost sweet, wasnt a big fan, sadly. If you are celebrating something i'd go somewhere else but it was a nice place to try.
