Not sure if anyone read the reviews. As a Lancaster resident since 2003 I think they are worth looking into. They are very hard to get in contact with and tried their best initially not to help me with a dog I found roaming around and could not keep. After I physically went there and asked specific questions the guy at the front helped me scan to see if dog was chipped. I asked if they could call me if dog can't be adopted to avoid being euthenised. They said no. Once he's surrended that's it. Me being an animal lover would have taken my number and agreed in order to avoid killing him. Needless to say I took the dog back so now have 4 dogs and no space. I find it strange that patrons are unable to enter. I had to wait outside. They can do better with phone coverage and being a little more genuine or appear to have a love for animals if this is where you choose to work. Very disappointed and still looking for home for dog.😔

I wanted my dog euthenizedbecause it was injured by another dog.then they said that I couldn't have my dog back to give it a proper burial.they said that all dogs euthanized will go to the landfill or dump

Get rid of roomie.
Wait for the season to change.
The best thing to do is apply at the cities website and see what happens

You would need to go to the shelter and check to see if he is there. They have new hours 10-5 Monday-Friday and are closed the weekend the ACO will have you email him pictures to help if it is not there and have you feel out a report.
Just call before you go. They do rely on volunteers. Sometimes someone from next door may be able to come over and help you if available. Definitely do call the number on the door if you are in the area or there.
Please don't think I'm way off here animals can read our minds... Perhaps combating it would images in your mind of good behavior that you demand that he respect... I have almost the same issue I now babysit the dog when it goes through trauma it comes to my side of the fence to hear my voice to be calmed down if you have a vicious dog you may have a vicious neighbor dogs do what their owner see in their head... You can laugh at me roll your eyes whatever or you can go and do the 30 years of research that I have done good luck with that ...At least your neighbors aren't vicious enough to pile the dog excrement up along the fence line so when it rains the poop slides under and into your yard things could be worse..
If you want to get the most out of the visit do these things *bring a stool sample as fresh as possible doesn't matter if it has a little grass or kitty litter in it for cats put it in a plastic bag then in a jar put it in the fridge till you can take it to the vet. this is a very big Time Saver.!! *Secondly what are you taking her to the vet for is she sick or does she just need her annual check-up make sure that that is communicated make sure when you leave that you leave that you have an invoice that has her weight condition prognosis and treatment PLAN and it will save you money and your animal discomfort if they need a stool sample instead of invading their privacy you have it (that's inside information for free.) Same thing with any vomit or any other body excrement if it's just Jacobs you are very good owner and you're taking good care of precautions now if you mean drop off as in do they provide kennel Services I do not believe so call and check
They are not a no kill but they do try there hardest to get evey animal to a loving adopter or to a rescue
You dont know nothing
