Just like when you make an appointment annually for the doctor, the office should make sure that it is one year from your last visit so you qualify for benefits, they did not do this nor did they inform me before the exam. Also, prior to a contact lens fitting they should inform you that there is an additional cost , they did so for the retinol exam which is additional as well so I suppose they are just trying to make extra wherever they can. I have been going here for a few years, my first bad experience was last year with the poor service shopping for frames. Since I have already had to pay the excessive expense for a fitting I will finish with Dutchess Optometry but will be seeking a new optometrist for the future.

Attentive, detailed, and skillful care by all providers. The entire office operates with courtesy, dedication, and professionalism. In addition the building interior and all rooms are sparkling clean. I am so happy to find this level of care and professionalism right in my own new ( live here 3 years ) town.

They are always extremely pleasant, very helpful, will go the extra mile to explain anything from your vision plan coverage to the details of what to expect in your exam. During the current covid crisis this group has handled things SO WELL. Everything is very clean and their process moves in a very comfortable order that ensures sanitation without making you feel like youre living in a bubble. The doctors are patient and strong educators, their reception staff is so friendly and their whole office team seem happy to be there and it shows.

I've actually grown up with this practice, beginning in second grade, and I am now near retirement and social security age! So I guess that speaks to being a satisfied customer. Obviously ,the doctors and staff have changed as the practice has grown. One thing that hasn't changed is the attitude of professional and attentive caring for the client and their vision needs. I have always felt the staff cared about my visit. They respect my time. They make sure the glasses are fitted correctly. They order contact lenses and send them to my daughter when she was away at college. My most recent visit was gratifying as the next generation of doctors are poised to keep the practice going. Dr."Nikki", a Red Hook native is a consummate professional, and takes time to explain and answer all questions. Heather likewise takes time to find a frame that is stylish and functional. Overall, a very good experience.
