A 25 minute hike up steep switch back the TRT gets you to a great view point for a Sunset over Lake Tahoe.

Paved parking lot for about a dozen cars. Trailhead to Five Valleys viewpoint, and beyond. Other side of the highway is the trailhead to the Tahoe Rim Trail. Also a nice picnic area under beautiful Aspen trees.
