I must clarify my review. The company, as a whole, gets a 1 star rating. The individual customer service reps that I've dealt with in person get a 4 star rating. The service reps I've dealt with via email or over the internet get a 2 star rating, so the overall rating is 2 stars...Not Good. There is a lot of room for improvement on the business side. I tried on different occasions to get a Txtag sticker online for new vehicles. Their website advertises a 3-4 day return for online transactions. Most recently I waited 5 weeks and still didn't receive one (and I live in the Austin metro area where they are headquartered!) On disputed toll payments over the years they always have an excuse for not reimbursing your account, always. They always deferred blame to CTRMA or some other agency for their lack of accountability. I provided a list of toll transactions that proved my case, yet TxTag would not accept it. Horrible online customer service. Cheerful customer service at the Ridgepoint walk-in service center. Go to one of the service centers in person if you really want to get anything accomplished. My experience is that you can't do anything over the phone, the phone reps are horrible, like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Customers beware.

I had a problem with my TxTag account. Fyi, I HATE the "improved" TxTag.org portal! And, I hated the idea of driving 15 miles to the edge of Round Rock Texas to talk F2F with anyone. Checking office hours, I discovered TxTag has opened up an office less than 4 miles from my home! And it is staffed with very NICE AND HELPFUL PEOPLE 😀. I was able to SHOW THEM the problem I had, and got quick clear answers in 5 minutes! (Versus 90 minutes of 😫🤬 & 🕷🕷 on the 🕸.) Thank You CSR PEOPLE at TxTag-Bridgepoint!🥳💕🥳

further proof that governments should not be running or administering anything. Systems suck. Hold times are long. No way to merge duplicate accounts from unregistered vehicles. Customer support rep was helpful and courteous, but could not solve my problem. Having said that, you don't have any options if you are going to use toll roads in Texas, so unfortunately you'll have to put up with their incompetence regardless. :(

Very Horrible I wasn't surprised to see negative comments. For the company. They will be better if they wouldn't have rude people. That sound so lazy that do not even want to work. And just want to transfer quickly. And take time answering the phone too. When it says it will take a minute but take like 10 minutes for them to answer the phone. I would rather just pay online so I wouldn't even waist my time on un professional people. I am sure that's the only reason they got hired so they can be rude to the people.....

Questions & Answers

Why is this company so poorly run? You try to seal money from people through fake bills and late charges and make it extremely difficult to then pay the money you are stealing.

Dear J. Austin , I got rid of all those problems you’re facing now with a TxTag windshield sticker. Just go to their Austin office , open an account with them , and leave a $20 deposit. The sticker will be free , there are no monthly fees , and they will only charge what you use ; at a cheaper rate. Try it , it solved all my problems.
