I was excited when this new Culinary facility opened a couple of years ago on Nellis. I was thrilled that there was a new pharmacy here as well. But in the two years since this Culinary Pharmacy opened, I've been forced to go back and use the other pharmacy on Las Vegas Blvd. According to the doctor's orders, there have been too many instances where my prescriptions came up short. There weren't the required number of capsules or pills, and I had to insist on early refills and drive across town to get a few extra pills because I ran out of my required meds too soon. I know machines count the number of tablets and capsules in a prescription. I assume humans operate these machines, and humans make mistakes. Counting machines also require calibration to function correctly, another human input. I can't say what happens with "the count" at this pharmacy. What I do know is, it got to the point when I picked up my meds that I had to carefully look at the amounts since it's too embarrassing to count all the pills in front of a crowd of people waiting on their prescriptions. There are also instances where prescriptions have not been ready at the time of pickup, which forces me to wait additional time to get the refill. For that reason, I've gone back to the Pharmacy on Las Vegas Blvd., which has its problems, but at least I can rely on the proper amount of my medications there. This pharmacy no longer has the same issues that I noted above. It appears better organized, it's immaculate, the staff is delightfully helpful, and you can rely on your medication being the correct amount. As a personal note, I suggest that you always check and recheck your prescriptions before leaving any pharmacy, not just this one. It is incumbent upon you to watch and question anything, including meds that don't look quite right. RECOMMENDED: Yes SERVICE: Good to excellent PRICE: N/A COVID: Diligently practices pandemic regulations. PARKING: Very convenient. REASON/INTENT: Pickup prescriptions.
